Amanda Hamm murdered three sons now on parole

An Illinois woman that murdered her three young sons is out on parole after serving nearly five years of a ten year sentence for child endangerment. Hamm wanted to move to another state with her boyfriend but she did not want to take her three sons ages 6,3,and 23 months with her. She and her boyfriend put them into their car and let it roll into a lake and then reported it as an accident. Hamm claimed later that the boyfriend brainwashed her.

This makes me SICK!!!! I can’t believe she is out on Parole!!!! I am a mother of a little boy who is 9 and he is my BEST FRIEND how can a woman who carries her child then be the same to take their life!!!!

I found an article on cbs.com about her and I was shocked when I found this quote

"It sounds awful, but parents who kill their children are not as uncommon as most people would believe. CBS News Correspondent Cynthia Bowers reports, surprisingly, 1 in 3 children under the age of 5 who are killed in this country, are murdered by their mother. And one of every 33 homicides in this country is a parent killing a child, including 450 times last year, Bowers reports"

Wow what a sad place this world is coming too!

I read that same quote. It is just disgusting. I have said this time and time again,their is way too much sexism as far as sentencing goes. How can someone murder children and be charged with neglect? I think it is because she is female and people don't want to believe a mother would do that.

Hamm and her boyfriend were both convicted! They drowned those kids as sure as I'm sitting here. The murders took place not far from where I live. I'll try to look into the archive of Springfields newspaper for some articles for you all to read.

It was all over the news here for over a year. BTW her boyfriend is trying to get his conviction overturned and have a new trial.

Both are pieces of trash.

Why was it that he got such a harsher sentence than her? I mean I think he is exactly where he belongs, but come on she is out on Parole already???? WTF is up with that? Thank you for the link btw I read a quote where they say:

"LaGrone and Hamm insisted in their trials that the deaths were an accident and the car rolled down a steep boat ramp into 4 1/2 feet of water after LaGrone parked too close to the edge."

How can that be an accident? Any "normal" person wouldn’t leave their children in a parked car where potential it could roll into the water.
Were they far away from the car? I mean I am having trouble wrapping my brain around how that happens. I read they said the possible motive was because the children were getting in the way of their relationship. How? Was that the motive that came out in the trial?

This is something she will have to live with for the rest of her life. I have no pity on her. I am so sad for these three little angels and all of the people who loved them. These monsters robbed the world of something special.

I pray his sentence will NOT be over turned.

Unfortunately I have to agree the judicial system is WAY TOO lenient on females its sad because case after case shows that women can be and in some case more sadistic then males

Hamm was convicted of child endangerment, while LaGrone was convicted of first degree murder. Which is the reason for her being out after only 5 years. Injustice at it's finest.

I agree that in the courts women are treated much more leniant than men are. Another injustice, crime is crime no matter the gender of the criminal.

I'd like to know one thing, with what did Hamm use to call 911? Was there a pay phone near by, or did she use a cellphone? Cellphones usualy don't work after getting wet.

And another thing, what were the judges instructions to the jury? Was murder charges taken off the table for Hamm? It's hard to phathom that twelve reasonable people could hear Hamm's story, that she was with my boyfriend, the car accidently slipped into FOUR FOOT OF WATER, and she did absolutly nothing to save even one of her three kids, and then they decide on the lesser charge of child endangerment? If the murder charge wasn't taken off the table, then the real travisty of justice here is, you have 12 people who shouldn't be living unsupervised, they obviously have poor decision making.

Yeah they are about 3 hours north of me and I have had to literally turn off the TV. Its such a hard pill to swallow seeing little Caylees face, big brown eyes, then seeing her B*tch off a mother so unremorseful very sad. I can't believe she is out of prison! That case was always very odd to me. She should be locked up forever along with that loser boyfriend of hers. I remember when all this went down. Those poor kids! Wasn't that by Decatur, IL?

She is by any means NOT a mother, a mother does not do the things she does, I hate to cast stones but she is nothing more than a mere incubator. I think its pretty obvious that Caylee is no longer physically among us, I wish the b*tch would just crack and tell people what really happened to this little girl so she can get a proper burial/memorial.

She (Casey) may not care about her sweet little angel but so many of us (strangers) I mourn the loss of this little angel.

The Caylee Anthony case pisses me off on many levels. The first being that this so called mother murdered her child or did something nefarious and is lying about it and will probably get away with it. The second thing is that her family is covering for her and have stood behind her instead of their helpless little granddaughter. I love my kids more than life but no way I would cover for them on something like that. The third is that so many people are outpouring love to this monster. I read people are sending donations to that family. She has more than likely murdered her daughter and has no remorse and is now being rewarded for it.

I got off of work early yesterday ( I usually dont get home until about 600pm) and actually caught Dr. Phils program it was about the Anthony case did anyone else see it???

How sad for this little girl, I cant understand why even if she did something to her by accident why she doesnt show any kind of remorse or guilt!! She is such a scum bag. I agree Melissa I love my son more than my life however I would NEVER cover up for him, nor would I support him if he was hiding something regarding my grandchildren, or any child!!!

I wish she would just crack so that this little angel can be put to rest the proper way...

i live in Clinton Il. where this terrible thing happened. Amanda Hamm should have got the same thing as Maurice Lagrone. I went to the same school and she was unstable then im sure she is even more unstable now....she should have got the death sentence....
