Hey i just read the book, that book was nuts.. i jus wondered if u ever talked to melinda anymore and if u kno what prision she is in .. it was just weird that everyting happened in my hometown

I just wanted to say that i read the book and i understand completely what Amanda did. She was in love with Melinda but after........what a year and a half, Melinda started to get controlling and treated her as if she owned Amanda. Amanda got tired and bored of having to treat Milinda as if she were her mother and she fell out of love. Shanda came along and was pretty and sweet and reminded Amanda she didnt have to be treated like Melinda was treating her. By this time Melinda was far beyond obessessed and could not be reasoned with. If Amanda would have sat down and told Melinda that she didnt love her anymore, she loved Shanda, Amanda would prolly have been the one found dead. Instead she tried to avoid Melinda and go on with shanda. It wasnt her fault what happened........theres no way she could have saved shanda. I have been in a smiliar situation and i believe Amanda did what any other person would have done when tring to end a relationship with someone that is THAT obessessed. I dont have a question though.........Where can i find a picture of Amanda??? It had everybody eleses picture in the book but the one i really wanted to see.....

I grew up with Amanda and I know that she was very hurt and very scared after the murder took place. Her and her dad lived in fear of thier lives. I remember them getting prank and threatning calls all the time. Her dad always had to know where she was going and who she was going with. She grew up without a mother and it was her and her dad against the world. Anytime she would want to go out with someone (always females) she would have to go through the fight with the parents. They would find out who she was and forbide thier children to hang out with her. I know because my mom did the same thing. I was a lesbian but now I am a blood bought christian. My point is, I have nothing to hide and other than the sin of sex with the same sex, Amanda is innocent in that situation.

Anyone as ignorant as you Blessed to say that same sex relationships are a sin, I feel for you. You're not blessed, you're ignorant, period, end of sentence. It's because of ignorant people like you that we live in a world where gays, lesbians, bisexuals and transgendered person feel like they have to hide and are treated like a lesser form of society. They are this generations' preverbial "blacks".....and god help you Blessed when the Rosa Parks of the gay community stands up and refuses to sit at the back of the bus. Better buckle up b/c whether you like it or not, the gay community is here to stay...

As to the topic at hand, I don't care how reformed anyone involved in this crime is, they did it and that's that.

As for Amanda, you can't blame her for anything other than a severe inability to spell and correctly form a sentence. I'm the same age as Melinda and Laurie, I just finished reading Aphrodite Jones' book today in fact. But I also thank the lord that I had the family I had. However, you could have the best family in the world and still turn out as confused and fucked up as the killers and their friends were/are now....

Amanda wasn't there that night and she was just a kids who thought shew as in love. I don't think any blame should be placed on her. We should be more applaed that Toni Lawrence and Hope Rippey are free now. toni can whine and cry all she wants about how innocent she was and couldn't stop it but there was a point when she wasn't with the group and it was just her and Hope, why didn't she tell someone then? She could have. Her remorse was an act to get out of any punishment and it worked. As for hope, when I saw that grin in her mugshot I wanted to slap it off her face. She poured gas on that child and helped burn her alive and she is now free walking the streets. If thats justice in Indiana then we need to get some things changed in Indiana

If this is really you, I am taking a Forensic Psychology class and am required to write a paper on a true crime. I have chosen the book Lost Little Angel by Michael Quinlan. In this book he portrays you as a little psychotic. You have obviously been scarred by child hood issues that seem to have manifested into something more. I have a really hard time with the facts of this book and with everything else that I have read on this Murder. You are correct however, in the fact that none of us were there and so we do not have all the facts. Can you please tell me how I might go about getting copies of the court transcripts? I also hope that you have had intensive psychotherapy as it seems to me and sounds like you have some real issues that need to be dealt with.

Thats really going to be nice when they finally get out of prison, I'd sure hate to be them but love to read what happens. They say what goes around comes around. I'm sure shanda has family waiting for their release. They might want to stay in prison, probably safer there dont you think......hmmm

i tried the whole lesbian thing in high school and to this day i sit back and am amazed at how it did not turn out like your situation did. vey scary. I am greatful and very lucky that my situation was contained, i could not imagine how my life would be if all that went down. i hope you are able to live in peace...it took some time but i finally am.
