I have been offered a job in NW Albany and do not know much about the area. Anyone care to share how they feel about living in Albany? I would be moving from TN, if anyone can compare for me... Thanks

If I were you, I would live in Lee County. ALbany has a very high crime rate and you would enjoy Lee or Worth COunties better!

I bet the crime rate in lee or worth is higher and it comes from DUI and spotlighting deer. That is what you will get in those counties, A bunch of pretentious snobs spending most the the time driving into Albany to do anything.
If you want to start taking a whole lot of pharmeceuticals and spending way to much money on gas than go ahead..... Dougherty county would probably be worse so I would reccomend avoiding this place entirely, Unless you are a damn good politician and you want to make the four lane to Valdosta a possibility.
If you have the option to stay do it because in Tenessee You have Knoxville,Chatanooga, Nashville...all close by in albany there is nothing close by and also the interstate does not come through, we are two are three counties of rural wasteland from the nearest interstate then its atleast 4 hours to any major city.
