The Dougherty County School System is Committed to providing the best quality educational opportunities for all children.
Goals and Objectives
1. Decrease the dropout rate in the system so that the rate in grades k-8 does not exceed 3%
grades 9-12 does not exceed 5%
2.Maintain the graduation rate at 90%(establish by the national waiver)and/or 5% increase by schools that presently fall below the 90% calculation.
3.Increase post-secondary placement each year (college, work, military,ect)by 35 annually as evidenced by improving career pathways alignment based on the number of students enrolled in each pathway.
4. Increase student achievement as it relates to the following
.Increase attendance by 35 and decrease tardiness by 5% throughout the entire district.
.Increase promotion rates by 3%
.Increase CRCT score by 3% in Grades 3, 5, and 8 across each content area 9(e-g, math, social studies, science, language arts and reading) as well grade specification.
5. Increase parental involvement across the district by 3% annually.
