Typical indian response,
I have no problem with any immigrants, it is the radical Sikhs that want to carry daggers and the radical Muslims that demand special treatment that are problems.
To me these traits only take our civilization back to primitive and dangerous belief systems. It took us years to get rid of that type of thinking, we do not need to go back in time.
We also see the Sikh population where I live practicing:
- forced arranged marriages
- wife killings (so called honor killings)
- daughter killings (so called honor killings)
- riots
- fighting with daggers at their Gurdwara elections
- protecting illegals
- protecting Sikh criminals
- Sikh youth gangs
- terrorist attack (Air India, the largest before 911)
- Ghettos being created
- no english skills
- plus many more

That being said there are a few Sikhs that have embraced our western culture and gone on to successful, happy lives.
Unfortunately, the negative Indian cultural traits are very hard to remove from Sikhs, as they rarely associate with other types of people.

Read about the Battle of Saragarhi. 21 Sikh Soldiers. 600 dead Afghans. Just one example of why you want Sikh Soldiers to be with rather than against you. The British enlisted as many Sikhs as possible to fight for Allied Troops as a result of the sheer resistance the Sikhs put up against them during the Anglo Sikh Wars. India Gate in Delhi is another testament to Sikh Bravery. There is too much evidence to quote here. In fact there were also many brave Islamic Regiments which fought with Allied Troops. Just a shame the idiot Muslims who seem to occupy these forums are not building on the example of such soldiers but too busy slandering Sikhs and other faiths. There is a reason you are the most hated faith on the planet. It is not Islam the religion at fault. It is the extremist idiots who portray it as the only way to God and who consider all other people as Infidels. None of us know how to get to God, that is why we are human and should aspire to display such goodness to all mankind that we are warranted a place in heaven.

Also Truth Hurts, although I disagree with a lot you say. I agree with the fact that extremists of any faith are a danger including extremist Sikhs. However as Sikhs we should not be generalised in the manner you are trying to. You are no higher authority placed to judge all. Whatever your denomination is I am sure there are plenty of extremists within your culture and plenty of shameful history. Think about that before you carry on your rubbish on here. Sounds to me like you don't know real Sikhs. Also don't think the world is so naive not to know how the indiginous population of Canada is treated and you consider yourself civilised.

I agree that we have enough crime as it is, the addition 3rd world extremist culture just makes things worse.
My intention is not to judge, just observations. I stated there are good law abiding Sikhs, but the radical ones are by far the loudest and the non-extremist will not confront them. This leaves the radicals basically representing the Sikh community.

The indigenous population in Canada now live in houses, drive cars, watch large flat panel tv's etc.
They are free to live in the forest if they so desire, but most prefer the cable tv, cell phones and Xboxes.
They no longer kill the other tribes or cannibalize anyone, they are adopting western culture and have become quite civilized overall.

The latest politically correct term for the "indians" or the "natives" or the "aboriginal" is the "first nations" that will change again in a couple years.
The department of the government that handles them is the "Department of Indian Affairs"

First all off their are way more good Sikhs that have embraced the Canada lifestyle then radicals. The problem is that they have nothing to complain about and are silent in the Sikh community because they don't want to get their hand's dirty. The radical Sikhs voices are carried farther. Seriously though I think your judging Sikhs, but trying not to state it. Look at Navdeep Singh Bains M.P. You really should try to meet him great man, and he happens to be a Sikh. I think the problem is that turbans, much like the hijab, or carrying daggers, suggests some type of primitive religious culture or mindset. Usually these type of people are more loyal to their religious doctrine than to the country they live in.

When you join the armed forces you should only demonstrate loyalty for the country you represent.
Not for your personal religion, it will only cause problems.
