Michigan gas prices down nine cents

AAA Michigan says gas prices have dropped 9 cents since last week, putting the statewide average at $4.09 a gallon.

Who ever thought we'd all be happy to pay only $3.96 for a gallon of gas! So much for all the end of the world predictions because gas went over $4. Turns out we just adjusted and went on with our lives.

Not only did we adjust, we kept driving, no problems, I see as many big suvs on the road as ever, people must have their credit cards charged up to the limit. Still gonna drive suvs no matter what.

If it is true, that oil is limited, people should not be given huge incentives to buy Hummers, as it stands now. Hummers should get hit with a huge luxury tax.

This is just proof that the free market system works. No government interference needed. When the price of gas gets to high, people start to change their driving habits (and which cars they buy), and that brings gas back down.
