This is what happens when you trespass. You shouldn't sleep next to a sign that says BEAR!!!
And if you enter the wild, expect the unexpected. this is nature people. This happens.
That bear should not be put down for patrolling it's territory unless we start putting down murders and rapists of children.

Human's are so bias to nature. It's okay for a human to kill 10 people and live behind bars but by god, if a bear feels threatened in it's natural habitat, we kill it.

bears are gentle creatures. the bear was just doing what a bear does. why kill an innocent creature?

I think bears and other wild life are getting tired of humans invading their territory to much already. camping is nice and fun, but i wouldn't chance it anymore with all these animals attacking people, especially if they take children. they need to close the campgrounds especally where they know theres danger like that. I know there are warning signs about dangerous animals etc. but why chance it.

Bear Attack?? Bear Rampage?? Give me a break. A bunch of idiots from the shallow end of the gene pool sleep in an area clearly marked as "Bear Country", near a sign that says "Bears Active" and then wonder why they got eaten? Hello? They rolled themselves in tents and sleeping bags like cannoli, have the smell of food and alcohol on them, lay themselves out like a Golden Coral buffet and then call 911 when the bears do what bears do? Now you want the bears put down? Why? Because they forgot to pay? I find it completely and totally amusing that the Head Honcho with the Wildlife Service (Sam Sheppard) is getting on TV and telling people that the campers did everything right. HUH??? They set up camp in bear country, at the end of July when bears are starting to search for high fat, high protien meals, in an area clearly marked as an active bear area. Tell me please what the morons did right?
I say instead of putting the bears down, let them go. Take the human carcusus to the morgue and put a nice big tally board on the campground. Put a little stick figure of every human that gets eaten there on the board with a red slash through it. Stop trying to fix stupid.
