Thanks for the tapenade suggestion...I was also considering a white bean and garlic puree...had it at Becco's in NYC and LOVED it!

I take my children out to eat with us as well. They were raised knowing that they would eat what the restaurant served and now they eat eggplant with a much gusto as chicken nuggets. I say take your kids with you to StellaVita.

No one said I hated kids. Just said it was nice to have a place for adults. Sorry you can't find adult friends to enjoy an evening with. Maybe some day you will.

Why not have hours for families and then maybe have Sat Nights at "Date Nights"?

Queen, I don't think they said they hated kids. I love my son and our family time is an essential part of our week but it is nice and extremely IMPORTANT to go out on a date with just your husband every once in awhile. It doesn't mean you are abandoning your kids.

Sure would love a date night with my husband. We had 74 reservations on Saturday night and actually sat with my husband and had a salad. Nice. Would love that private candle light more often!

Thanks for the support, Hank! We are so thankful to be in this community and want the best for all small businesses striving to succeed...especially in this economy. I am the first to say...if you want AMAZING quiche go to My Mothers Place...MaryLou is the MASTER of crust and does an amazing job...if you want baked potato soup...Memories is the key! Eddie's has the BEST Mexican Food (I miss going to La Hacienda since he sold) and the Thai food up the street ROCKS! We just want to offer something different to Alamogordo. We are retiring here and are in this for the LONG haul! Blessings to all of you who LOVE food and PLEASE give us all of the suggestions you can muster. We are already wanting to change the menu to reflect the Spring and the warmer weather. WHAT DO YOU WANT TO SEE ON THE MENU?

You are an idiot. We have adult friends. Many have kids and others do not. When we go out to dinner with them our kids go too or we don't go. Sorry but we value family. I think the fact you think kids should only get McDonalds or Pizza Hut shows just how little you care for children.

They are getting much better about trying new things. It is an autism thing where they self limit but now if I give them warning that we are going somewhere new they do fine. It is all about preparing them for what they might find. I try to get a menu prior to going ;o).

Curious, thank you for starting this thread. I am not sure if I would have tried Stella Vita without it.

My boss and I went there for lunch today. Great service. Great atmosphere. Definately a dress up dinner date kind of place.

The food was good, the prices were kind of high. But for the classy restaurant that it is, I would gladly pay for the visit.

They were nice enough to give us a copy of their menus, both lunch and dinner...so if you want me to post it, I gladly will.

Thanks again to Stella Vita and staff and I look forward to coming back soon.

Finally got the chance to have lunch at Stella Vita. I must say that it was a very pleasant experience. Everyone was very friendly, from the young lady that greeted us at the door to the charming waitress. The food was excellent, even if it was a tad on the pricey side. The place is clean and well decorated. The dinner menu is quite a bit pricey but I won't complain until I see the portions and presentations. I would highly recommend this place.

I will not disclose my name, however; I am a very happy employee of Stella Vita. I don't think Foodie1 is the honest owner. If you have any questions and would like some truthful answers, please e mail us at our website...Stellavitaevents.com . I would be happy to respond to questions and/ or concerns. We offer Lunch Monday-Friday 11-2. Dinners on Friday and Saturdays 5-9. Reservations highly recommended. Thanks for all the great comments.

I wish you would have disclosed that in your other postings. In those two postings you posted like you were a customer and not an owner. Sorry but that rubs me and probably a lot of people the wrong way. I would have had no problem with you coming on here to promote your business but the way you did it was just wrong. I mean you even said "Went back today for the Green Chili Chicken Alfredo.", completely dishonest to say the least!
I'm sorry I have to agree. This sounds the midst of a shaky and unsure owner, and also a scoundrel. Sorry for the harshness. Just tell it like I see it. As always my honesty is always appreciated.:) From what I'm told your staff is questionable. Especially upon healthcare , and perhaps, just forgive me rumors, of abusing immigrants?
