NMSU isn't the place it used to be. This issue is the overall accreditation, but one wonders how one of their programs, the nursing program, has continued with the problems it apparently has. There testing showed less than 48% passing the first time a few years ago in 2010, and the next year was 58.82% in 2011 nurses that passed the first time they tested. They have the among th lowest scores on the chart. These people scoring like that shouldn't apparently didn't learn what they should have. They shouldn't be working in health care settings if they don't know what they are doing. Even when they retest, some may improve, but something is wrong when those scores are evident.

The nursing program is also listed as"conditional" under the state board approved programs.
