It's a great country when you can spout your hate and filth and not be worried about being beheaded. In your country you would be camel food by morning!

Americans, as a group, have isolated themselves from the rest of the world and have lost touch with the reality of existence while maintaining the American Myth. We know nothing about the rest of the world, their cultures, their solutions to the problem of living together. We have no concept of coexistence.

If the currently accepted perception of life were that of a snap shot, your opinion would have some credence. But life is not now or has it ever been a snap shot. That is why snap shots have far less legal value than a video clip.(Acknowledging that in a digital world both may be doctored, rendering both susceptible to tampering.) Untold atrocities have been documented in our courts, where snap shots were used to create false realities allowing for myriads of innocent people to be incarcerated.
With that in mind, history is more of a linear video and if we rewind that video, all of us can see that the American way of life was what could be called a 'test' or 'experiment'. It was intended to be treated similar to a laboratory experiment. Seeing as no one had any experience with the government that was desired for America. That is why so many checks and balances were set up. America was never seen as a myth but always as a dream.
Clearly Gorky, from the objective view you have offered us of the inside of your head, everything you have written is a comprehensive example indicating that, YOU have isolated yourself from the rest of the world and have lost touch with the reality of existence while maintaining the American Myth. That YOU know nothing about the rest of the world, their cultures, their solutions to the problem of living together. And finally, that YOU have no concept of coexistence.

My snapshot of the world has lasted approximately 72 years starting with WWII until the present. Twenty-six of those years were spent overseas.

Ayn Rand was instrumental in beginning the end of community adhesion. Every man for himself was the motto in reaction to a socialism that never existed in American reality.

In 1970, President Ronald Reagan with the help of Christian Fundamentalist Churches, began the attack on the middle class to the benefit of the upper-class. Busting unions and vilifying the "unchurched". I see that as splitting the community.

In the last 24 years of my life's snapshot, spent in Otero County New Mexico, I have experienced the philosophy of Rush Limbaugh, who spearheaded his listeners condemnation that liberals and liberal programs, such as health care and social security, were draining the life blood of Americans (he meant rich Americans). The rants continue to this day, even here on this forum.

It has been mostly people in the military that have traveled overseas, mostly to fight wars of aggression against 2nd rate countries. Many of the peacetime military soldiers seldom ventured off post, never interested in the guest land's culture or language. Now it is mostly the wealthier class that can afford to travel.

The present, which has been pretty much the same for the past years, is the snapshot.

It is considered unamerican to speak critically of the United States, and while our history has much to be proud of, we could do better. We won't do better if we are not allowed to be critical. Your snapshot is of no help.

Bong down Kennie. Ronald Reagan was NOT president in 1970, and the ONLY attack on the middle class comes from you leftist socialist freaks that think things can be FAIR and free for everyone

Define middle class. You mean folks like Romney? Paying less than 13 percent capital gains sounds fair and free?

I always find it interesting how you are your own fan club.
---------
You are always looking for a good guy and a bad guy. So juvenile, I can not express. Nothing is ever a process to you, such as your over used word progressive. You frighteningly so, see yourself as the guy in the white hat. As if corruption rules in a world that needs people like you to come along and fix it. As if errors are not part of progress. You endlessly pursue the negative and imply that your clarity is a set apart clarity. Your kind sickens me! You spew endless concepts, concepts created by men far more courageous then yourself. Then you endeavor to critique them, using your game ledger of flagable and non-flagable moves. Otherwise known as eating from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, giving way to good guy, bad guy crap.

I stand corrected, Mr. Putt the. Nixon was President in the 70's. Yes, I suppose that only liberals think things (a job, food, health care, and shelter) should be fair and affordable for everyone, not only the middle class. Funny name, you have.
