It figures Ken alias Gorky! I just knew you would be putting in your two cents worth. So let me get this straight. You can criticize Republicans, Corporations, church goers, those opposed to Al Gore's big lie and that's okay with you. No one led you by your liberal little hand and forced you to go hear about the history of the radical Muslim religion. You did this on purpose to have something to write about in your own sick way. Ms. Stirman never once talked about hating Muslims but only current events that are happening in the world around you. Someone gives the facts and you in all your wisdom criticize them for it.

I think it was naive of you to expect any kind of reason, balanced presentation from Stirman. What's worse is that, at an Eagle Forum gathering, she is preaching to the choir.

I liked your article Ken. Well thought-out, concise, and informative. I did't read anything about bashing republicans or pressing your own personal agenda. Ayeshire, the hate mongering starts with those who are ignorant and stops with those who are intelligent. You sir are the former.

Stirman's xenophobic rant should not have been on the front page--maybe on the op-ed page if at all. While I have no complaint regarding coverage of the event, the way it was presented lent credence to her outrageous and ill informed statements.

Point 1: Trust nothing from the Southern Poverty Law Center. They are funded by DHS and consistently have Left Leaning views on patriotic groups they view as "Dangerous". Look up the story in Minesota where a child was kidnapped by athourities based in part by SPLC's view of Oath Keepers!

Point 2: The most recent Hadiths are the ones to follow under Islam. When your religion preaches the killing of inocents with different religious views, you are now preaching ideaology that would violate my Natural God given rights.

Point 3: One of the Hadiths preach that it is acceptable to lie in order to prevent "infadels" from learning what Islam teaches. How can one trust anything one of your "friends" say when this "religion" says it is Ok to be a Liar?

Point 4: In every nation in the World that has been taken over by Islam, they have consistently used that nations laws to gain a foothold in the name of "Religious Tolerance". Right up to the point that Sharia Law is instituted.

Learn your history in reference to this Evil Idealogy and know that anything that goes against the protection of indiviual rights under the US Constitution can not be tolerated!

So, the messenger is your problem?

Ms. Stirman may be outrageous, xenophobic, and whatever else you may wish to call her, but she is something else, as well.

Correct.

The truth is a strong swimmer and the perils and cancer of Islam are encroaching into all western societies, with destruction and subjugation of the USA a final goal of the Jihadists.

Truth is not hate.

Your post is dead on accurate and well written.

Our national mantra should become:

No mosques.
No Mao.
No mas.

These supposed Americans are nothing more than quasi-fools, secure in their ignorance and PC philosophy, looking to 'handle' and 'tolerate' Islam. Their arrogance and lack of knowledge leaves them beyond hope, but will be the first to begin screaming for someone to save them when they are under the foot of the local Imam.

I hate to tell you this but radical Islam still exists. It has not gone away. It's obvious that liberals like you just don't get it and never will. Europe now has a major problem on their hands because of Political Correctness (something you liberals just love). You think it can't happen here?? Think again.

Our Constitution guarantees the Free Exercise of Religion. ALL religions. This great nation tolerates the existence of what many consider radical religions and denominations (Scientology, Jehovah's Witness, Mormon, etc.). Islam is no different. Muslims are guaranteed their freedoms by the Constitution.

Only when they,(or anyone) else breaks the law should government interfere and only then to hold the specific individuals, not the entire religion, accountable for their actions.

The Constitution also guarantees the Freedom of Speech. Stirman is free to say whatever she wishes, true or not. However, when she begins to advocate government action against a Constitutionally protected religious institution, she is arguing against the Constitution and the individual liberties our founding fathers fought and died for. Few things are more Anti-American than that.

Ken Nicholson needs to grow up and realize that everything in his liberal fantasy Land is not what the average person believes. He's an ultra left wing radical with close minded thinking. He hasn't a clue as to what is really going on around him and refuses to get educated.

For you information there is a difference between constitutionally protected religious institution and Radical Islam. An undercover survey of more than 100 mosques and Islamic schools in America has exposed widespread radicalism, including the alarming finding that 3 in 4 Islamic centers are hotbeds of anti-Western extremism. About a quarter of the Muslims in America ages 18 through 29 believe that suicide bombings can be justified, according to a Pew Research Center poll. Generating those attitudes are imams who preach jihad and hatred in American mosques and postings on the Internet, according to FBI counterterrorism officials interviewed. You liberals love point out the KKK, Aryan brotherhood and other radical groups but when it comes to radical Islam that becomes protected speech? That sums up the problem facing us as we ponder the meaning of Army Maj. Hasanís slayings of 13 people at Fort Hood, Texas. Given his association with a pro-al-Qaida imam in northern Virginia and his preoccupation with radical Islamic Web sites, itís clear that the radical element of Islam influenced Hasan. There was much more of that because all of it was considered by Justice Department guidelines to be purely protected speech. We do not have incitement laws in America, but once an imam facilitates someone else taking action, he has crossed the line and becomes our business.

I'm a Libertarian, not a Liberal, so that means that I believe that the members of the KKK and other radical, racist groups also have the Constitutionally protected right of Free Speech. One of the greatest aspects of our nation is that people have the right to be wrong.

It is when (and only when) individuals cross the line and actually break the law (commit violence, etc.)that government should intervene and only then, to hold the actual individual offenders responsible to the statutes they violated.

Well said.

Yes, Islam predates the US by a thousand years. I don't think Islam is an existential threat to us here. But our reaction to the perceived threat of Islam is a concern, just as our reaction to the spectre of Communism led to modifying the pledge of allegiance, led to loyalty oaths for all & sundry, let to McCarthyism & ugly witchhunts in the entertainment business, government, universities, arts & letters.

Factual information is much preferable to a mere statement of opinion.

It is sad to see all these lefty's in the media pushing muslim's propoganda. It is a sick mindset and probably due to ignorance and denial for who muslims really are. Here in Santa Fe,NM, you have a bunch of white people running around in muslim garb, it is a funny sight. They don't realize they will be killed by muslims first... They have their mosque in a home and are wanting to build a mosque facing mecca in a residential area. A few ignorant politicians and with the help of the lefty media, they will get it along with govt. funding... sic
