You've got to be kidding! This appears to be another Debi Lee setup. I wonder if Mr. Sena informed himself of how Debi Lee treats village employees when she decides she doesn't like them. We do hope Mr. Sena is knowledgeable in all the areas the City Council wants him to "assist" her in. Didn't the previous Deputy Manager take a demotion just to get out from all the crap that was (still is) going on at Village Hall? And why did it take so long to look for someone to fill the position. Didn't everyone believe she didn't need a Deputy Manager?
And why AREN'T the Audits up to date? Weren't they supposed to have been by now? They no longer have the prior administration to blame. Just Debi and Nancy! Seems like the wheels of justice ARE turning, it's just too bad that the council would not listen when the information was there all along.

If she's as bad as many of you say she is, she'll fit right in there. LOL

The situation is that, until these dimwits on the current council(mayor included) are up for election again, there isn't much anyone can do!
The last dimwit added to the council works for Hubbard, who seems to have Stoddard in the bag as well. Stoddard and the former mayor brought her in, but other pinheads also helped. It is a puzzle as to why these people don't inform themselves why she really has been a detriment to the Village. She didn't place any of one of the outstanding staff that applied, because she needs them! They do a dam good job and would be hard to replace in the jobs they hold. Too bad the state didn't mandate retirement this year or she would be gone in June.

Randall Camp should have been given that position. In fact, he should really replace Debbie and she should ride out of here with the sunset.

Last year at this same time the FY11 budget was submitted on time but not yet accepted by the State of New Mexico. Aren't we in the same status this year, on time but not yet accepted? Not to be nitpicking, but the newspaper article did not say that audits are continuing to be late, just that it is important that they not be late ever again. Are you saying the audit has not been sent to Santa Fe yet? Please tell us the Village has done its part and is not reverting to the old days! You seem to have those answers for us.

Probably the Village needs some youth among the leaders and directors, because even a town of 7000 can take a toll on their health and energy. But young people say, "Why work that hard for Ruidoso when I can advance on the East Coast?" How old is our new deputy? He doesn't look real spry. We're stuck with what we get, which is timely submission of audits but petty competition for small-stake victories in every other aspect of Village government. Alborn, Stoddard, Klingman and Lee will retire or die of old age, but I don't expect much for the future except more people looking for a year-round life in the mountains.

Why would they hire Randy Camp?. He is highly educated, truthful, accomplished, experienced, personable and competent. These are all traits that would have eliminated him from consideration before his application was submitted.

The State Auditor updates their website to reflect when audits are received and then again when they are approved. A search for Village of Ruidoso on the State Auditor's website on March 24, 2013 shows the last audit received to be the 2011 audit. The "At Risk" List (Updated March 14th) still has Ruidoso listed. It does not appear that the audit has been sent to Santa Fe.

Save your breath. FACTS have never mattered to this council. Give her another 10 year contract and promotion as she is still working on that Master's degree.

Not surprised he doesn't want to run again.

Which directors are putting their resumes out to other towns and states or looking to retire to their hometowns? It does not seem like any of the people in Village Hall jobs are lifelong New Mexicans. I still think if we're patient they will all be retiring before too long. I can't see Lee, Camp, Klingman, Decker, et al staying in town if they can move.

From what I hear, don't think his health is fit for him to run for office or in fact, run period. We need to quit getting these old geezers in office and encourage new blood - residents that want to live in and better this town.

Now officially on board, new Deputy Village Manager Ron Sena has that frequently seen look at Village Hall of a deer caught in the headlights.
Ms. Lee has a plan for Sena and it ain't gonna be pretty!
He never saw I went from making $35 grand a year in Ft. Sumner, to making $82 grand a year as a clue that something is amiss.

Mr. Sena:
Ms. Lee was looking for someone dumb enough to bite. YOU BIT! Your tenure will be short...perhaps you should have a chat with Mr. Parker at the airport........
