How sad that people would feel the need to do this. There are so many people in Alamogordo that use this resource and this has just been swept from under their feet. How sad. What is Alamogordo coming to? I hope that whomever did this is caught and brought to justice.

Pretty sick.
Either Alamogordo has picked up some real sub humans in recent years, or maybe they are test tube/crack head babies that are now coming to age?

Sadly, this town is continuing to get caught with its pants down, and it is about time that businesses, and residents do something to cover their butts.

Perhaps it is only one security business in town, that makes the rounds, there's a lack of video surveilance systems, and not enough police that compound these problems.

Again, how I note, all these occurences happen in the wee hours of the morning. I constantly see people parading up and down Alamogordo Streets during these late hours. Trust, that in the majority of instances, their intent-reasons for being on the street is probably not a genuine, nor law abiding one.

When people go to sleep in this town, they go to work, committing their heinous crimes, their search for drugs, money, and commit acts of thievery, etc to fuel those habits. Yet people here seem reluctant to believe that their little town has turned to crap. That can change, if people begin doing something about it, and not be so naive.

Hope they catch these people, and that they get them off the streets with some hard time.

They have more than 3 busses, why can't they continue to use them and at least provide service to some areas.

we hope the police catch them and make those kids pay for what they did and make them walk long distances just so they can see how important the bus company is to needy people that have to travel from desert areas too just to get into town to go to work or shopping ect,.

How UNGRATEFUL! You should be thankful there is even a small bus system. When I grew up there and lived there later, there was no such convenience. If they have problems, sympathize with them, don't berate them!!!!

Ya know those little thugs and you know who you are.... might live long enough to be old and need some assistance.... They will remember the day they made it hard for people who need assistance and I hope each and everyone gives back to the community some how. It's the right thing to do.

Those other buses are not running , they are in repair so how can they be ran when in the shop, thats why there were not hit, they were not in the yard.

Some people's children! What reason would anyone have for doing such a thing? eople use the transit system to get to work, school, doctors appointments, etc. What a rediculous and selfish thing to do. I can't Imagine being the relative of one of these creeps when names are released.

I was horrified to find out that Ztrans was vandalized. My roommate and I use those buses every day. Since my roommate is blind, I now have to walk with her to college from where we live. That's a long walk! The crime has decimated our city. People were using the bus to get to their jobs and school. Whoever committed this atrocity should be considered Alamogordo's Public Enemy #1. The vile, cowardly, despicable miscreants must be brought to justice. Commenters, please do not blame ZTrans for this. They're doing the best they can. I know they have to be as angry about this as the rest of us. This is their job. If they can't work, they don't get paid. Those of you who are lucky enough to have a job: Think of how it would be to lose a week's pay. It's not a matter of laziness. I urge those of you who can drive to be more helpful in this situation. If you see someone walking, stop and offer them a ride. They may not always accept, but if they do, they will be very grateful. I'm always grateful to someone who offers a ride, whether I accept or not.

So now we should go around looking for people to give rides to? not a chance in hell buddy! it's unsafe to do so! are you crazy?
You have no compassion, do you? I bet if you had to spend all day walking to get somewhere, you would no doubt be glad to accept a ride. And Ztrans has to get everything up to DOT standards before they will be able to open. Imagine having to walk everywhere you go for WEEKS. But you don't give a crap, do you, "stupid people"? Next time your car breaks down, think about others for once and what they have to go through. And what's more, if you can't say anything nice, stay out of the forums.

Maybe if our DPS would have been on the ball instead of setting up speed traps on the overpass and highway 70 to ticket the working people in this town, they could have caught these scumbags!
Just a thought.

Seriously doubt DPS is setting up speed traps at 4:00am. They wouldn't catch very many at that time.
I agree

Our police spends a significant amount of time camping in spots to generate revenue. We were broke into a few years back. The cop that reported told us they don't take fingerprints because they don't catch criminals that way, but that they would fill out a report for the insurance company. Perhaps our law enforcement supervisors should pull some units from their revenue generating spots in the day and stick them in the crime prevention spots at night.*Go ahead, break into my home, I own a gun, and I will shoot to kill*(There's less liability that way)
Perhaps they can add something to pseudafed that, and when it is mixed with whatever it is that they mix it with to create meth, it becomes instantly lethal. That would be some instant low-life control. And no, I have no sympathy for Meth users, so if you're going to attempt any defense for them, save your breath.

So who said it was kids? The article fails to mention that Zia is being sued for not paying its fuel bill. Hopefully the detective investigating this, Roger Schoolcraft who recently declared bankruptcy in the wake of payday loan defaults, will actually solve this one.

Maybe open or even concealed carry patriots can do some community service and provide security to Zia and other organizations that serve those in need to protect the resources.
