You know, I would agree with you, but when I went and tried it back in '88, we sat there for a minute and it wasnt a slight gradual motion when we started moving, it was a sudden force, gentle force into forward that came from behind. It was entertaining to say the least, my friends tripped out so it made the night regardless what the reason for the motion. Who knows, maybe there was someone in the bushes snuck up on us and pushed us.

I'm guessing debunking this would be as cheap as buying a string level at the hardware store. For about two dollars you could get all the scientific equipment necessary to put this silliness to bed. Actually most plumbers probably can use a string level.

My goal was to get the locals chatting.There is very little debate going on in the S A forums, usually it's only biased racism and hate...seems to hold true even when it's a fairytale..
I'll keep posting the news and hoping for the day when my neighbors can all live in peace with one another , rather than condemning one another over simple differences ofopinion or beliefs.

That's all good. I don't know that this is exactly a hate fest over here. That said, examining what one believes is an important thing. As I was pointing out, these ghost crossing myths aren't a local thing, but occur all over the country. In Oregon, where I grew up, Gravity Hill, as the place is known, looks to be UP HILL. Not just flat. But with a simple experiment it becomes clear that the car really rolls slightly down hill. It's impossible to tell without setting up a simple surveying line because there is a convergence of hills in the spot that tricks the eye. It's interesting stuff, these local legends.

the conversations look pretty vile to me but I am delicate..lol... still I have a goal and it's to get this state back in shape , fighting ppl can't resolve anything fair to everyone so I hope to create non angry dialogue...so far no such luck =)
