AS usual to get the whole story you have to check other sources.
"Two Fairfield residents were killed Thursday in a single-vehicle crash on eastbound Interstate 80 by Suisun Valley Road, according to California Highway Patrol officers."

What is it with California drivers? Do you think that you can come to Idaho and drive 100 mph on the freeways? Try to pass, clipp the rear end of someone that's trying to get out your way, you render their car out of control and roll it a few times, but just enough to eject a passenger and kill her. Drinking at 11.30 am and driving like that.......SHAME ON YOU THOMAS BANKS AGE 42 OF WALNUT CREEK, CALIFORNIA Every breath you take is borrowed from now on!

Insurance companies are getting smarter. Now when drivers reach their golden years, their rates are going up accordingly.

It is terrible that a drunk driver pulled a bonehead move like this and killed someone, but if your going to toss out names and wag your finger why not ask 61-YEAR-OLD ROBERT HUGES OF CHUBBUCK, IDAHO why he wasn't wearing his seatbelt and not checking that 64-YEAR-OLD JANET BURTON was wearing hers. I'm not exactly sure why Banks previous address is an issue, there are pleanty of drunk and stupid drivers up here that are FROM HERE. The courts up here will deal with Mr. Banks no matter where he's from

Ok, did you have a speedometer showing that he was driving 100mph? Even the man he hit would not know what exact speed he was traveling. Also, how do you know there was ANY alcohol involved at all. They said that alcohol involvement was being "INVESTIGATED". I know that crap road (I86), with its raised centerline and sloping sides. If one were to drift off to sleep, for even an instant (how many of us can say that has never happened to us?), you will run off that road or run into someone else, in the blink of an eye. Judgement should be stayed until the facts are out. I agree, that it is a tragic accident. My heart goes out to Janet Burton and her family.

A truck driver witnessed this accident he was passed by banks! Oh also come to find out he had a 10 year old boy in his car! Martin, I also know the road and it is crappy for several miles prior to the accident scene, so why was he driving so fast on those kind of road conditions? Sleepy and speeding with a 10 year old at 11:30am hum.... I guess if your a rich Dr. like Mr. Banks you have a license to kill.

While it is true we do not have all the facts in this case; Mr. Banks WAS driving at a high rate of speed. Regardless of seat belts, the fact remains that the life of a woman who was dearly loved, who had many healthy years left, was STOLEN by one man. He will have to live with the fact that his irresponsibility, in the company of his son, caused the death of another. If saying that a seat belt may have saved her life, if putting the blame on her and Mr. Hughes is what makes it possible for Thomas Banks to sleep at night -- I guess he can have it. It's his lie and he can tell it any way he wants to.
