Why not include that Glazer is a PAID spokesperson for the Arkley Family? And if he is a spokesperson, did the TS ask him any questions? Probably not. Wonder if he would do an interview.
Glazer says the Arkley daughters (ADULTS, I might add) approached Larry Glass but fails to note that Cherie Arkley and her buddy Kathrin Burleson did so also - on the same day.
Glass would "NEVER" vote for "Marina Center"? There is no such thing as "Marina Center", just a big polluted lot in a tsunami zone next to a US highway. Fix the pollution, design for disasters, and solve the traffic problems. Until then, "Marina Center" is just another BS project handle, like the Halvorsen Hilton on Humboldt Bay.
You got the "bully" part right. The difference is, now that somebody finally stood up to him, RA will find his bullying demeanor less likely to succeed in the future.

Can any one opinion be any more biased than this guy?
Simple fact that Glass chose to speak for himself tells the real story

Arkley really is a fool for letting his paid hit man continue this diatribe in the public eye. He looked like a fool for engaging is such boorish conduct in the first place. You would think he would be happy to see this ugly incident fade away. But no, the man appears truly possessed with his desire to destroy anyone who gets in his way.

And why not include that Glazer has personal financially vested interest in the project going through? And how convenient he doesn't mention the Marina Center volunteers who have been harassing Eureka residents for months and months with push polls. Way to go Larry, you struck a nerve.

So Larry Glass did all that anti Home Depot organizing before being elected, sounds like most agreed with him Steve.

Equating being anti-Arkleyville and anti-Marina Center with an attack on his family is dishonest. You personalize this issue, not Mr. Glass. Climb out of that rabbit hole and breath some clean air, it will be good for your cyanotic brain cells.

Larry Glass is a publicity hound. I understand he injured two old ladies in walkers when they got between him & a TV camera.

if glass is a publicity hound, why is glazer playing into it by writing letters to the editor? this publicity is positive for Glass and negative for arkley..........maybe arkley should rethink his attack tactics. continually bringing up an incident where he threatened a city council member is bizzare to say the least..any normal person would try to sweep it under the rug, but no, arkley tries to spin the situation into something else......unbelievable....

Mr.Glazer is "HaveGun..WillTravel " And so he has...for the money.. I did note in the Times-Standard article that at least one person did corroborate and witness Mr.Glass' claim.. As for Mr.Glazer's claim that AttyGen. "dismissed" the claim... Not true.. They simply declined to pursue prosecution..something prosecutors do if they don't believe that the evidence would garner a conviction by a jury. As for the No Arkleyville t-shirts or stickers, I'd have never known about them if it was not for Mr.Glazer constantly making media comments about it. It wouldn't surprise me if the Arkley's have some of the items at home.. Probably a local collector's item some day... yee!

Larry Grass wrote: The Reefer-King of Old Town speaks, EarthFirst! used to have a name for people like Larry Grass, MediaWh0re. Say, this isn't the Larry Grass that was around Eureka and Arcata say thiry years ago? Blond hair past the shoulder and wore a Plains Indian style choker all the time? Maybe another Larry. That was the day. More than one liberal minded hippy got their start-up money from the cocaine and reefer trade back then. Cocaine was big. A few business ventures in Eureka and on the Arcata Plaza got going that way. Course their liberal views had limits back then, especially when it came to paying taxes. Now that the've gone legit, they like paying taxes. Always want to raise them. Maybe they feel guilty for scamming those Govt. social engineering years ago.

changing the subject doesnt deny the charge.....notice how mark and "larry grass" dismiss arkley's actions??
why would they want to change the subject? oh yeah, because Larry Glass has grown in popularity since being threatened, and arkley has lost alot of good faith...
look the other way, nothing to see here folks...gosh, remember the 60's on the arcata square?.....no one cares!!!

No,it's really because the Marina Center proposal has little public support as it stands and that's exactly why Larry was elected, because he takes a stand against a horrid proposal and also demands that the property needs to be cleaned up.

You can kiss Piersons goodbye if the Home Depot moves into town. Their prices are about as low as it gets for what your getting. They're like Wal Mart to a small city.

Glazer says Larry was anti everything Arkley before he was on the City Council. Maybe so. But Larry's election night victory was by the widest margin of any of the five Eureka races. Larry apparently picked the winning issue.
