The temp of water the Bay is 54 degrees, that is not frigid. All of the cowardly police officers and fireman that are paid to help people in need watched and did nothing should be charged with Manslaughter. I've read the reports stating their hands were tied, there is no excuse for that; stating that is what the guards of the concentration camps said during their trials at Nuremberg "I was only following orders".
BTW, it takes over 50 minutes for hypothermia to set when entering and remaining in water at that temp.

Gawwwwd damn cowards and their unions. Your friends will turn on you now; they know you are slime and are not fit to be a public servant that is there to help. Take off that paramilitary gear also, it makes you look even more pathetic..

Zack did it to him self. His parents did NOT take him to swimming lessons when he was a kid. It is hard to drown your self when your body knows what to do when it wants oxygen.
If Zack jumped from a building, from a bridge, from a pier, from a dock his intent would have been more immediately obvious. He waded into shallow water where he could still touch bottom and keep his head above water. When was obvious that he intended to do him self in by drowning him self?
Furthermore, why should government be blamed when stupid and irrational people do things to them selves? Government is funded by tax payers. Why should tax payers make stupid, irrational people rich in law suits for doing stupid and irrational things and then blaming their own actions on other people? Remember the lady who got rich by suing McDonalds after she spilled hot coffee on her self while trying to drink hot coffee and drive at the same time? It's the same thing people. Zack chose to wade out into the water. He could have turned back at any time. He was NOT splashing about and screaming, "help, help save me!"
Wise up! There are a lot of people are there showing off their ignorance and hypocracy with every stroke of their key boards. A lot of big talk being typed. If they had been there, they would have been one of the bystanders too waiting and wondering what's going on until it happens. Things happen all the time without anyone seeing what is about to happen or knowing what to do about it when they are caught unprepared. Law suits and demanding resignations are not remedies for stupidity. They only benefit opportunistic parasites.
Responsibility belonged to Zack and his parents.

how typical of the nuts that live in California. The rest of the country always seems to be a bit more civilized. What kind of coward losers would stand by and watch this happen? Everyone of those firefighters should be fired. I am so happy where we live, our first responders are actually interested in saving lives and not being spectators. The people that watched are worthless too.

Daily Horoscope for May 21

Pisces

It's a great day for fixing anything that needs attention now. That might be a dripping tap, a sick child, an unpaid bill or a miffed partner. However, you'll do particularly well if you need to sort out something connected with official or joint finances or red tape. You might be asked to help someone deal with a bureaucratic problem, especially if they're elderly.
