Why don't you guys quit whining and go out and do something to make the community better. You seem to think you know how to do everything right and no one else does, so why aren't you doing something yourselves? Waahh, waahh, wahh, wahh, mommy, Bobbie is a bad boy. He builds those mean old parks and we can't. It's not fair. Bobbie is a bad, bad boy. He made us look bad because we can't do anything.
What a silly thing to say. Let's just see what happens.

In light of the dire financial condition of FRRPD, and lack of services in the parks, people have a right to have an opinion. You may tire of seeing the same quid quo pro appear, it all adds up to a point......the district has been a sham, a breeding ground for inadequacies and conspiracies. It's great that one man "had a dream", but he had it at the expense of every tax payer in the community! That is the public right to express and explore faction v. fiction. This is the American way!

So, "Tired of It", sounds like you may be ready for a nap....teacher says!

Seems like the YMCA is taking over the sports programming, day camp, after school activities, fitness programs....what are our public-funded (taxpayer PAID) money going for? What are FRRPD's monthly expenses, especially with all the loans coming due for the district?

There should be a monthly accounting of all income and expenses for all funds. This is public information. Just ask for it. If you need explanations, just ask. If recreation programs are being taken over by other entities, then our tax dollars will just pay to maintain the parks. I think that was a dream too.

FRRPD's monthly expense report is in fact public information and you may request it from the District...however, good luck trying to make sense of it! It's like trying to decipher a kindergardner's scribble!

The City of Oroville provided the grant for Riverbend Park and not the district. Howcome the City doesnt get any credit for that?
The city supplied a grant, but the majority of the money came from DWR and the water contractors and other grants the Sharkey spearheaded.
The fact is that Sharkey has done more to improve the community than anyone else. It was Sharkey's years of hard work and tenacity and his relationship with DWR and the water contractors that build Riverbend Park. He also built the skate park, and he was a major supporter that pushed funding through the SBF for the soccer fields. He's a bad man. He builds parks. That made many people jealous such as AH,GA,JP,VT,VC,MC,DDR,ET,SA,TF ,JH,LG,JP,CB,and many others who did get credit for anything. He also has enemies in past board members years ago who didn't want the district to grow, and the most previous board members who bought the gymnastics center for $5 million and about $47,000 a month payments, and then they try to blame Sharkey because they can't pay for it. We will see during the recall if spiteful people can get vengence.
