I don't know Steve Fry so I will withhold judgement. But Time Warner Cable, since its inception, to me is third rate, with poor service and high rates. Adelphia was just as bad. They need some competiton, even if it is AT & T.

We praise the guy who runs what has essentially been a monopoly in this area providing exceptionally poor customer service, a lousy channel lineup compared to other areas and a healthy dose of arrogance - all for the most expensive rates in the country?
And good luck trying to get to Fry if you have a complaint. The only people who work hard at Time Warner are Fry's gatekeepers.

A TWC large purveyor of pornography

"Be careful little eyes what you see"

Will he be held accountable for all the money that is made from being a purveyor of pornography?

And we wonder why there is such hideous crimes such as the college student who doubled as a pornographic queen, it is what is put in her and her murders head by purveying money makers such as TWC.

Good god, read and get educated, morons...your opinions here mean what??? go take your insecurities out on your wives and kids, if they are still living with you. It's too bad that Time Warner doesn't know anything about customer service. You'd think that if I call in and have to wait 2-3 hours for a call back, no matter what time I call, they'd hire more people to handle the calls. I can't figure out how that I am paying THEM, that they do everything at their convenience. The minute I can get someone else, I am bolting.

Nice story on Fry. He has contributed to the communites he serves freely.

Warner cable itself, has been terrible for years, and it's been beyond me to understand why folks continue to subscribe to them.

The only reason people still subscribe to Time Warner is the lack of competition. The only competition TWC has is from DirecTV and Dish. I only pay $2 more a month for TWC than I would DirecTV and I didn't have to drop $200 on equipment when I signed up.

DirecTV and Dish provide free equipment all the time with most of their offers. No need for $200.

I hope all of you dish fans don't expect to watch TV when it snows or rains, or if the wind blows too hard. My 80 year old mother was told to get her broom out and climb on the roof to sweep out the snow from her dish, or she could spend $150 on a new satellite. Gee where can I sign up??!!!

I notice that this Time Warner propaganda piece conveniently leaves out any mention of HD. Guess the fact Time Warner is getting their ... handed to them by Directv in the HD department doesn't help his "good guy image". Also, Navigator is conveniently left out the artical. Navigator is the new program guide/DVR interface Time Warner plans to start using soon. It is TERRIBLE! Users who already have it have nothing but bad results with it. I predict a BIG loss of customers over Navigator.

Mr. Fry would do well to talk to some of his very disgruntled customers. I have never had such poor customer service as that from Time Warner Cable. It is so bad I am intending to organize a group of like-minded subscribers here in Alliance to end TWC's monopoly. Any choice, any provider, would be better. The Main st. office does not even have a phone! When you call with a problem you must navigate one of the most annoying phone "discouragers" invented. It has literally taken days to talk to a real live human.( One of the best tactics I have used is to call for new services, they never seem to put those calls on hold.)

The product has deteriorated, with a crappy pixilated picture a common occurance. And, one of the only ways to up date the on demand feature is to do a "hard re-boot", a move that does not inspire confidence.

Aside from the technical issues I would say the horrid customer service, indifference, and ever increasing costs has led me to explore other less frustrating, more customer friendly, and perhaps less expensive vendors.

I believe that anyone could do a better job than TWC is now doing. Mr. Fry, the good will you have lost in this household alone should shame you into action!
