In a field, secluded in Copley Twp, we have an acre of money trees. Each tree produces about $100 a year. We currently have 10 money trees, but hope to plant an additional 10 next year.

They use their mom/granny's money to buy cheap houses, don't pay her back, and then trash her publicly...true gratitude if you ask me :(
Don't forget all of our aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews too. We buy houses in Bath, Fairlawn, Hudson, and Munroe Falls, then convert them into shrines praising St. Francis of Assisi.

No problem. I'll just dip into my gifting checking account and funnel out $100,000 for you. I am branching out to build Buddhist Temples and a sanitarium for Psychologists who have succumbed to, and acquired, their patients mental illnesses. A psychotic married relative has a married boyfriend, Bill, who will help out too. When you are done rehabbing your property, build a campfire and I will come over and we will all sing kumbaya.

Another fine web story about pat and heather nagle...
"So much going on, I had to regretably discontinue donating free grooming and such to Heaven Can Wait rescue. I've donated hundreds of dollars in supplies and grooming to that organization over the last year. Unfortunately, Heather Nagel didn't take the news too well. She writes to me (spelling and grammatical errors intact):
"I do have a handful of attorneys at my diposal and if I find out from any source at any moment that you are slandering Heaven Can Wait or myself, I will take legal action. You will LOSE anything you have or ever will have and will regret opening your uneducated unstable mouth."
And her mother, Pat, writes to me: "I do believe you have a serious jealousy issue with Heaven Can Wait, Heather and I. I don't think you have it in you to even comprehend compassion and caring. That may be one reason you are so hostle. Are you jealous that Heather is going into the real estate business? Not everyone is real estate savy, and just because you are not, do not be angry at those who are.
"I am sorry you have done nothing with your life. You are miserable, and it shows."
Wow. I guess their compassion doesn't extend to humans".
As I have previously posted, that blog comes from a volunteer I had to remove from HCW because she was causing problems. Posting the same thing over and over is stupid. You cant even spell my name right WHICH means you didnt pull this from the web WHICH means you are Shannon. Take your meds.

The people running the Humane Society are good people who work very hard to care for animals. They are sponsoring a Summit, Feb. 7 and have invited all the animal rescue groups to attend...hope they will in the spirit of what's best for the innocent creatures. Gentle people usually accomplish more through their kind words and deeds as opposed to critical and angry behavior. God Bless the Humane Society.
I will be there, just as I have always been anytime rescue groups meet. DUH.

Can I bring the holy water and wine?
Or do we need black candles and whatever?
Sure does sound fun.

I believe that people associated with the Humane Society started the smear campaign against Heaven Can Wait, to take the focus off of their ill run facility. Leaven Heaven Can Wait alone.

wow this all pretty ridiculous!!! Heather and Pat are great people!!! They do all they can to save these animals and give them and second chance. HCW ROCKS!!! I think people are just jealous and full of hate because these wonderful people speak their mind and tell it like it is to save animals lives. Heather and Pat you both are great people and I have tremendous respect and support for both of you and everyone at HCW. And for the person who said that the HSGA kills animals you are extremely wrong. They do not beleive in euthanasia and I volunteer there and they do everything to save animals..absolutely none of them are euthanized get your facts straight before you start mouthing off.

Spoken in true ignorance of the situation.
The only animals the Humane Society euthanizes are the ones that either pose a danger or for medical reasons (and they'll try to nurse the sickliest animal back to health through foster care). The fees serve a twofold purpose: first they cover a portion of the veterinary costs for shots and spay/neuter, and second to make sure that the animal goes to a home that can afford to support it. It's already hard enough for them to keep the adoption fee as low as it is, let alone reduce it or eliminate it. That would be fiscal suicide.
FALSE. A while back, someone tried to break into my house. I went to the Humane Society the next day to see if they had any dogs up for adoption that might fit in well with my cat. When I was leaving, there was a customer standing at the help desk with a beagle puppy. I said goodbye to the clerk and she told me to come back on Saturday, there might be more to choose from, "unless I wanted this one here, who is getting euthenized at FIVE O'CLOCK". I said, "what? why? It's just a puppy. Certainly someone would adopt it". She said, "wrong. We don't do that. The owner is bringing it in. When they come in without their collars or if the owner brings them in. If they come in with their collars, we hold them for five days (I think) to be claimed. Otherwise, we euthenize whenever the next euthenization is on the board...which happens to be today at five". Needless to say, I took the pup and found a good home.

I'm glad you found the puppy a good home. I have no first hand experience with The Humane Society, or any other animal adoption facilities, but I know plenty of stories from friends of mine. What you describe, is sadly true. What really surprises me is the places that will not allow an animal to be adopted without a volume of forms, interviews and money. I have decent animal loving friends that have been turned down when "applying." I have a friend who wanted to adopt a cat, but was told that she would have to take the brother and sister because they could not be split up. If my friend did not take them both, they would be euthanized at week's end.[So she was told] Yes, she took the brother and sister cat, but it was not a good "fit" for her. She ended up giving them to her daughter, the one who was turned down by Petco. It seems to me, as with child adoption and foster care, the wrong people slip through the cracks, are often denied, while those with no credentials [or true love of animals] are given cart blanche.

Your story illustrates the blackmail and seediness that can occur. On the flip side, there are many animals who are placed in wonderful homes surrounded by love and good fortune.

Two good parts to my story. When I snatched the dog away from the owner, I snapped at the counter girl, "If I take this dog, I'm not paying for it". Her response, "Fine, take the dog". LOL - the second part, I put a little bandana on her, took her for a walk to a local store. Everyone wanted to pet her and hear her story. Turns out, a woman in my neighborhood already had an older breed just like her. Now this little dog spends it's winters on the beach in North Carolina and every other day get's a different selection of butcher cut blended food. Totally spoiled. The owner was lying about the dog, claimed her daughter had allergies. Turns out the puppy had a severe biting problem, more so than most. The new owners didn't mind a bit and worked with her. She is a very content dog that I get to see often on my walks. It worked out great.
