The Mayor Of Akron, Donald L. Plusquellic, had his new home in West Akron appraised for $181,720. However, he paid $268,700 for it.

Talk about a tax break!

Miss Tia, hon, didn't you know? Don has a terrible fear of heights. He says that's why he's such a God-awful cellar dweller.

Either his evil ways have again gotten the better of him, or he's become so arrogant to believe we're that stupid. Or, <chuckle>, like the rest of us, he believes no one reads the Leakin' Beacon anymore.

Ya know, it looks as if Sponge Don could fund the sewers and the student loans himself on the money he'll be saving on property taxes. Put those illegal funds to work for your city (before the Feds come a'callin'), Big Orange.

All the more reason: No on 8.

I just contacted some local media (not the ABJ, of course) and they'll be following up on this.

Not a fan of the drunk blowhard, but tax appraisals have very little to do with actual real estate value. There is nothing here to get worked up about.

Pretty much across the board anybody's tax appraisal will be lower than their market value. This is a non-issue by somebody that has a chip on their shoulder.

The auditors office got pissed at me when I called to appeal my appraisal on the phone. They told me it would be 6-8 weeks before anything happens. The appraisals are wrong and anyone who didn't appeal theirs is a FOOL. Look at your neighbors and tell them you want the same deal. My neighborhood houses went down from -2 to -9.5% and I want to be on the -9.5% side. Why pay more when you don't have to pay just like Alcoholic Myor Donny Boy did?

Not so fast, ahem!

Plusquellic probably learned at the hand of his Cuyahoga County counterparts: Part of the FBI's investigation of Cleveland Democrats involves discrepancies between appraised values and actual sale prices of properties owned by Russo et al.

Your friend's right about Mr. Criminal Jones' interesting appraisal. Wayne had an appraised value of $392,000 but thanks to the generous calculations of his friends in Donofrio's office, the taxable value was adjusted all the way down to $137,300.

I agree, but, my tax appraisal is 97% of the market value where as Don's is 67% of the market value

Yea...the good old Don, who had Akron Recycle Plant closed because he didn't want to invest the $30 million the EPA required to keep it running, BUT, INSTEAD built the new Akron Aeoros statium...so, my hubby lost his job (and the city didn't even offer to help all those employees find new ones)...and guess what? We still have trash...Thanks Don!

And the local media is already aware of this. Folks, keep your eyes peeled for some reporting on this.
