I shore do. I wouldn't have gotten within 15 feet of that gator once I knew what it was. Much like the taste of gator tail, I's chicken.

Way too much attention around Summit Lake for two days... gator... and a decedent. One thrilling find, one sad and sobering discovery.

I'll bet you anything that this gator was stolen and this kid knows something about it. Look at the photo. Does it look like the gator was smashed with a brick? It also looks like the gator has been dead a week or so too already. Plus, gators are cold-blooded. There is NO WAY a gator would have survived in 45-degree water in Summit Lake. Not even for a week! It has not been THAT warm out yet and gators in Florida will come out and sun themselves in the daylight. This is a very strange story and I'll bet you that tag will uncover some strange twists in this story. Call me whatever you want, but you just wait and see what happens. I'll bet this kid or his friends were keeping this gator in a garage and it died there. This is a cover up.......you wait.

not a true statement....gators have been found all over the northern states....this animal has been around for thousands of years, because it is so adaptable to its environment....crikey!

The top half is supposedly fairly clean, just don't be stirrin up the bottom...the EPA at one time thought about dredging it and found it would be far too expensive and would make it worse by stirring all those chemicals back up.....don't eat the bottom feeders....yech....some do, I've seen folks fishing over there....and eatin em...which might explain alot ....my Uncle used to race boats on that lake back in the 60's...

I thought somebody posed that question. I've been too busy and just skim these posts. Figure how factual can an alligator thread get, as opposed to the political debates on here.
