Looks like My 101.7 is playing all Christmas music now. Great time to do it with all the snow we just had!

They have been talking for the last few weeks about their Christmas music line up, asking people to e mail their favorite songs. Seems like they are billing themselves as the Christmas Music station. Back to talk radio for me. Christmas music depresses me more than the news.

That's how I located the 93.1 station-The Summit...Public Radio,no commercials and interviews with the artist....and no fricking Christmas music, or at least until it is close to the actual holiday.......as it should be....as Scooter said.......BAH HUMBUG.....

Right--any station playing all Christmas music has lost my listening til after the holidays. So when WAKR, WDOK, WHBC-FM, etc all make their moves to Christmas music, they disappear from my dial.

I can't get 93.1 very clearly. I think I live too far north of Akron. After 6:00 p.m., I can't get any of the AM channels that I listen to during the day. If I'm traveling in the Mentor area, I can't even get 1100 or 1420 at all. I'm plain sick of 105.

If you can't get WTAM-1100 in Mentor(day or night) there is a problem with your car radio. 1420 is another issue--hearing them well in Mentor at night isn't that easy.

I admit, 1100 is clearer than 1420, but it's still scratchy and fuzzy. You are probably right, it's my car radio.

Awwwwwwww, c'mon, guys! What's wrong with the bunch of you? Haven't you got any Christmas spirit? I just LOVE the fact that there are stations playing this stuff 24/7.

(Yes, in case you can't tell, I'm one of those cloying, annoying, and all-around obnoxious holiday celebrators. Sorry. Can't help it. And to make things worse, my birthday is right before Christmas.)

Yeesh! I can hear your groans all the way over in Fairlwan. Goodness sakes, as my great-grandmother would say!

Appraisit, you'll never forgive me, but at this time of year, I switch back and forth between the Xmas station, 91.3, and NPR.

Hey, a girl has needs: a dose of sentimentality and nostalgia, along with some new music and brain candy.

Mel, no apoligies needed...being around the Don so much I imagine you need all the sentiment and nostalgia a girl can get....and if your needs aren't being met....perhaps you can get a Todd Palin doll like Mr. Beale's Sarah doll......
