I have known Tommy for over 30 years, we were all wild once. This coward (punk) needs to be put away for a very long time!!! I will miss him.

There was never a knife found at the scene, so IF there was a knife, where did it go? Tommy was knocked out, so he surely could not have hidden it. So I tend to believe there was no knife.

Ya know, I keep coming on here to see what kind of comments have been made and every time i get a little more sick. To all of you that have sent your sympathy/condolences, they are very much appreciated. To everyone who just comes on here to question who was right or wrong in this situation, i have only one thing to say. WE Toms family are the ones going to his funeral. Think about that next time you decide to post something cruel or untrue. Get facts first!

If it was a 17 year old kid that killed him I seriously doubt that much will be done to him. Maybe prison until he is 21 or 25. It doesn't sound like anyone knows much about this at all.

And another thing... IF the witnesses would cooperate and talk to the detectives working on the case maybe the truth would come out. All we want is the truth. You all need to understand how hard this has been on our whole family. We love and miss Tommy Very Very Much!

You are right when you say we don't know much. All we have to go on is heresay.
Here is as much as we know is FACT.
1. Tommy was working at Massey's around the corner from his house.
2. Somebody told him that they saw people/person coming out of his house.
3. He ran to the house to protect his property.
4. When his son arrived, Tommy was already on the ground. Jerry never left his side until the ambulance took him away.
5. Tommy died from severe head injuries.
6. The house has been broken into 4 times since all this happened on 5/6.
7. The detectives tell us that they cannot file charges with the little information they have received from neighbors, even though they feel there is more information to be told. They are all afraid of what these punk kids will do to them if they talk.
8. This may or may not be fact, because it is only what I have been told was in the statements. Two different people have stated that this kid came up behind Tommy and hit him in the back of the head. Even if by some chance there had been a previous altercation, this was cold blooded and left Tommy unable to defend himself.
These are absolute facts. Obviously, there are many holes. Although I doubt that Tommy instigated this, the fact that he was hit from behind should take away any self defense claim on the kid's part. I do not understand why there have been no charges filed and I truly hope that the police are not just sweeping this under the rug because of the neighborhood.
There is several other pieces of information that I could state here, but I am trying to stick to the facts and I can't substaniate the other things I have heard.

Not putting down a deceased man(you always had that covered) simply stating a fact. Now by posting using his last name you want too portray as the grieving widow. By calculations is this the third one you are burying? I see a black widow

AS far as the coming from behind.... From what I saw, it could NOT be possible because he fell backwards onto his back. If he were hit from behind he would have fell on his face, not his back.

Lets see here--- you say house has been broken into 4 more times since this? Somethings not right.? Your dtr. says he was cold cocked? Does that not mean straight on in the face? How can you be attacked from behind after repeated break ins & be cold cocked?

First of all people need to get their facts straight. Tommy and Jerry started the fight with my little brother. My little brother hit Tommy in self defense. Tommy pulled a knife on him. My little brother had no choice but to strike Tommy. He struck him ONE time and it was in the face. Thats how Tommy ended up laying on his back. How did Jerry SHOW UP after the incident when he provoked it? Also the fight was not over any GAME SYSTEM!! The incident took place over a prior fight with Tommy's son Calvin. This is a tragedy for both families and my little brother had no intentions on killing anyone. People are also forgetting to mention that after this incident took place Calvin had a crew of guys jump my brother. I also want to add that my brother was not under the influence.

I was Tom's ex-wife. From what I have been told his house keeps getting broke into by the same 17 yr.old that did this to him over play station game and games. This is off Newton St. and even if it's the worst area of town doesn't everyone deserve to be protected?
No one should be allowed to get away with that...
sorry but you've been told wrong.. my brother has never broken into this mans house, they always picked him to blame when all the crackheads that lived there stole shit, the house is a drug house with constant traffic of course things are going to come up missing when you have 10 - 20 diff. people a day in and out(this is reffering to the past few years.. everytime they have blamed my brother for stealing)
