To Kim and all of your family...my prayers go out to you and your entire family...we know that God is good and prayer works...no matter what any small minded people have to say...they need to get a life...one never knows what the future holds for them...I pray that Kyle will wake soon and the story will be known to you and the rest of the family...it isn't anyone else's business. May our Lord help you through this terrible time. KIM wrote: To all of you people who are praying for Kyle, my family and I thank you very much. For those of you who are quick to judge, and offer your stupid comments, please keep them to yourself. I am Kyle's aunt, and this young man does not deserve to be in the place that he is at. Does it matter to any of you jerks if he survives this tragic accident? or how many surgeries he faces? or that he has a small daughter who loves her daddy and is counting on him to be there for her, or that his family cares and loves him very much? You are cruel, insensitive and obviously have no compassion or regard for the value of a human life. No one but God knows what is ahead for any of us, or any of those we love. There are so many good caring people out there and I ask for your prayers for Kyle and his family, and for those who THINK they know better and are so judgemental, I say SHAME ON YOU. I hope you are never faced with a similar situation and will be more open minded to the feelings and tragic events that happen to people in life. Do your theories or comments really matter....I THINK NOT!!!!!

what this young man was doing on county road is no ones business there is no law that states you can not be on a road at night. The speed limit is 40 from transit to just before goodrich. If you are driving a veichle your are responsible for what you hit. May God Bless this young man and his family.

How horrible. I hope this person comes forward. I wonder if they thought they just ran over a deer. Unfortunately it sounds like it will be tough to find the person.

LeeMarie wrote: To Craig F., If you know this guy/family...what was he doing in the middle of County Road at 3am ? I'm afraid to walk down the side of County Rd., during the day, let alone in the middle of it at night. If I came upon something the size of a person lying on the road, I would have been at crawling speed by the time I got up to what ever it was. I'm surprised this motorist that passed this guy, did just that !!! What the heck was he/she thinking passing a body on the road ???!!! We are not talking a raccoon or a squirrel here. You stop, put your hazzard lights on and call 911. This poor guy in the middle of the road would have been spared getting hit, for God's sakes ! I would check the undercarriage of that person who called the authorities !!! I don't know about you but there are times (esp. when you're going fast - not say speeding, just the limit) that your brain doesn't process what it sees until you're on top of it and even then you think "was that a person?". By the time you've finished that thought you've already gone another 1/8 of a mile. Then you have to stop ... which doesn't happen on a dime. I forget the numbers but you can still travel 100s of feet before the car stops. Then you have to u-turn, reaccelerate and head back. Could be upwards of a few minutes before you've returned to the man - and of course, you're probably still incredulous to the thought that it could be a man lying in the middle of the road.

Hope the young lad lives for his daughters sake but one can't help to wonder what the hell a father of a young child was doing out laying on County Road at 3AM. The driver of the pick up may not have been the first one to run the guy over so even if they do find the driver he can't really be charged with anything if he claims he thought it was a deer or Obama.

To the family: God be with you and Kyle.
To the others and you know who you are: Stop the speculation and say a prayer!
To the the person who ran him over: Why don't you come forward you coward!
Even if you didn't realize you ran a person over -you know what your vehicle looks like, you know if you were on that road at that time - unless you were drunk! If you were, I hope you are caught and prosecuted!

Road Kill

I was driving down Route 5 on Friday and some Idiot in a Toyota Tundra(big wanna be full size truck for those of you who don't know) he cut into my lane to avoid a f..ing piece of a newspaper. Hello we were doing 40 mph. Going 55 and on a road like County Road try more like 65 that time of day. You are not supposed to react like that, keep the wheel straight apply the brakes. That's why we have the accidents we do. People have no clue how to handle any kind of sit. other then drive straight and don't hit anything. As far as this guy, I hope he recovers and pulls through but come on, what is the rest of the story...

I dont care why this guy was on County Road at 3am. The point is he is a human being and doesnt deserve to be left on the road for dead. My prayers are with him and his family.

Happened just like in the movie "Reservation Road" with a slight difference. I'm sure the driver is panicking and is very uncomfortable. He'll show up eventually and ask to be forgiven... I hope Kyle would recover and defend himself. My prayers with the family especiallly his little daughter.

who cares how or why or what happened, no one deserves to be run over by a truck. Let us all hope that this guy will be able to recover and see his little girl grow up.

This story is posted on the WIVB forums too. I too had some questions on why the heck he was laying in the middle of the road or walking on a pitch black country road at 3AM.
I was bombarded with insults, had harm wished upon me and was even accused of being the hit-and-run driver!
These people are losing touch with reality!

By the way they are acting, it's almost as if the family is vigorously trying to hide something. Something fishy is going on here. Why else would people get mad at you for seeking the truth?

Tim-
I responded to this in the other board as well. The reason that I (as Kyle's family) and other members of my family are coming out strongly is because you came out and accused Kyle of trying to commit suicide. Then, when I clearly told you that it was not the case, you tried saying, "well, you don't have any facts and your theories are as good as mine." There is absolutly nothing "fishy" going on other than you are trying to verbally attack my cousin when he isn't able to defend himself. As his cousin I'm defending him, my aunt kim has defended him, his brother has defended him. Please, I'm asking you to leave my family alone. God forbid that my aunt sam stubble on these boards and read your cruel words and others who, for example, say that he was "trying to be a speedbump" or whatever. She is a grieving mother who is praying that her youngest son will live, that he will fight and get stronger. Shame on you for being so judgemental and cruel in a situation that you don't understand anything about. I am begging you, not for my sake, but for those of my aunt sam, mitch, his daughter, his nieces, my grandmother, and everyone else who loves and cares about him and is praying that he makes it through this, to stop your accusations and your cruel remarks and for making it seem like you are the victim here. Because you're not. We have been through enough, and your words sting and only make the situation worse.
