Hey- I'm sure there's more to this story than meets the eye, but... Who lies in the middles of the road at 3AM and DOESN'T expect to get run over?

Regardless of the surrounding circumstances in this young man's life; it doesn't make it right for a person to run over him and leave like nothing ever happened! What did the driver have to hide is a better question here????

This father of a little girl probably was hit more than once, and people should be praying for him instead of chuckling at his misfortune. this family has seen a lot of tragedy in the past couple of years. Please pray for them

It is entirely possible the truck didn't know what he ran over, it could have been uneven payment, a dead deer, etc. County road is dark, there are no street lights.

The question remains why was this man lying in the road? I can speculate alcohol had something to do with it, but thats all anyone can do now, speculate.

To Craig F.,

If you know this guy/family...what was he doing in the middle of County Road at 3am ? I'm afraid to walk down the side of County Rd., during the day, let alone in the middle of it at night.

If I came upon something the size of a person lying on the road, I would have been at crawling speed by the time I got up to what ever it was.

I'm surprised this motorist that passed this guy, did just that !!! What the heck was he/she thinking passing a body on the road ???!!! We are not talking a raccoon or a squirrel here. You stop, put your hazzard lights on and call 911. This poor guy in the middle of the road would have been spared getting hit, for God's sakes ! I would check the undercarriage of that person who called the authorities !!!

Do you think the truck was the SECOND vehicle to hit this gentleman?

My thoughts and prayers are with he and his family and friends.

At 3AM, odds are that the kid in the road was drunk, and the guy that hit him was drunk.

You obviouslly never took driver's education. One of the most eye opening demonstrations was the night-time emergency stop exercise. No one was able to stop on time to avoid hitting an object in the road at 60 mph. Even with high beams our response + braking time exceeded the distance we were able to see in our headlights. The first driver was fortunate to avoid (by maneuvering.. not stopping).

County Road is 55 mph. It is pitch black on that road at night. And I also had second thoughts on the guy who called authorities, thinking maybe it was him who might have hit the guy. But of course, this is all speculation on my part. I just hope this young man lives to tell his side of the story.

I am guess to that the guy didn't know he hit a person.. Why the guy was in the road is a good question? Lots of questions few answers.. Hopefully this guy will survive and hopefully the story comes out..

Juan-

This is my cousin you are talking about. Right now, my aunt, his mom is praying to God that her 20 year old son lives to see another day, that he lives to hold his baby girl and play with her and see her grow old. Praying that he is able to see his nieces and watch them as they grow. She's praying that he makes it through the night. You have no clue as to what our family has gone through you just want to run your stupid mouth as you wish harm upon other people. How would you feel if someone close to you was fighting for their life because bastard ran over him and left him there? We're not sure what's happened yet, there is a possibility that he was hit twice, which would explain why he was in the road. We dont know because he can't tell us and I cannot believe how cruel this world can be because of people like you. People who run their mouth and want to act like such a big shot. Shame on you, and shame on anyone else who says hateful things in this situation. Why dont you go out and do something productive with your life.

My theory is the kid got hit, became incapacitated, then got hit a couple more times. A 20 year old on a dark road between 12 and 3 sounds like a lot of bad judgement wheather he was sober or drunk.

Dear Mr./Mrs. Rice Farmer,

I Love Rice ! Keep up the great work !

I drive down County Road all of the time, especially at night and I always use caution because of the deer in this area.

I did take one of those courses, way back when...but there is no need to be snotty about it.
Unless this young man lying on the road was wearing all black clothing and thinner than a cellular phone, whomever hit him was drunk. That's my opinion.

My thought's & prayers are with this young man and his loving family.

Let me guess, he was walking home from Stockmans at 3am and couldnt quite find his way. I dont believe this is a hit and run as much as the driver most likely never saw him laying in the road.

County Rd is not meant for pedestrian traffic.

You've got to be kidding.........you don't know the whole story, so you don't really know if he was drinking and the driver of the truck unless he was blind and can't feel anything, he needs to come forward.

Well then, please share the whole story...or is it that you dont know it either???

My point is that no one is walking on County Rd at 3am for a good reason. There is no doubt that what happened is a tragedy. And I am willing to bet it was a tragedy that didnt have to happen.

To all of you people who are praying for Kyle, my family and I thank you very much. For those of you who are quick to judge, and offer your stupid comments, please keep them to yourself. I am Kyle's aunt, and this young man does not deserve to be in the place that he is at. Does it matter to any of you jerks if he survives this tragic accident? or how many surgeries he faces? or that he has a small daughter who loves her daddy and is counting on him to be there for her, or that his family cares and loves him very much?
You are cruel, insensitive and obviously have no compassion or regard for the value of a human life. No one but God knows what is ahead for any of us, or any of those we love.
There are so many good caring people out there and I ask for your prayers for Kyle and his family, and for those who THINK they know better
and are so judgemental, I say SHAME ON YOU. I hope you are never faced with a similar situation and will be more open minded to the feelings and tragic events that happen to people in life.
Do your theories or comments really matter....I THINK NOT!!!!!
