Hunters Will Rid Golf Course Of Canadian Geese

The City Council in Rochester, Ind., has approved a plan to allow geese hunting at the Round Barn Golf Club.

Good for them. Have you ever walked across a yard that has been invaded by 30-50 geese or more? Not fun. Their droppings are every where, on the road, on the sidewalk, on the driveway. We are not talking wild geese here, we are talking resident geese. They DO NOT go to Canada for the summer breeding season. They are a nuisance, a pest of the first magnitude, not to mention they carry disease. Since they are resident geese, their numbers increase with each passing year. Their numbers should be reduced significantly. Migratory geese, no problem, they go home for the summer, Canada. Resident geese never go home, your home is there home. This is a property issue, your property, you should be able to protect your property from invasion, be it beast or fowl.

Just read the comments from an NPR guy, just what you would expect from an NPR type. Obviously, he has not had his home or yard invaded by 50 plus resident Canada geese. Think I should find out his address and sent him a couple of dozen geese who NEVER leave the neighborhood once they have arrived?
Violence my foot, it is your right to defend your property from destruction. They will destroy your yard left to their natural calling, eating grass and pulling up the roots, etc.
