The Air Force Academy is an outstanding institution. Unlike private institutions, it will not bury its head in the sand when a problem arises, it addresses it and removes the violators. People who cannot follow the rigorous rules do not belong there. If you have a person of low moral character, they will generally trip themselves up during the grueling four years, and they will not graduate.

The graduates of the Air Force Academy are far above the BEST that this country can offer to the world. GO AIR FORCE!

If their daddy is in the "good old boy club there will be no problem. Most of the "zeros" that come form the academy are useless bubbleheads. You know it take a big d!ck to need a three foot zipper.

You obviously know absolutely NOTHING about the requirements necessary to get into a service academy. These are the finest young men and women in the country, most in the top 10% of their high school graduation class, with SAT scores higher than you need to get into an Ivy League school. They are far from "zeros," and certainly not bubbleheads. Those two word probable apply to who you see in a mirror.

if these people really we're so smart then they would do something good with their lives instead of the USAF Academy, also known as the high flying rape school

I think it's healthy to learn how to cheat. I know many upstanding pillars of our community who wouldn't be where they are today if they didn't learn how to smooth the corners.
Of course, we must investigate cheating as it is a flagrant violation of the rules. It's how we play the game and if you are dumb enough to get caught, the academy doesn't need you.

I see you know nothing of the military. Officers are called zeros i.e. O1 O2 O3 etc. Second pilots are zippers. You need to learn a thing or two.

There are many critic of all of the service academies. Most are sour grapes from those who could not qualify for admission, others are uneducated critics of achievers, shakers and movers.
Unlike other academic institutions, the service academy's purge their ranks of those who do not measure up and are fair gsme to the whiners and appeasers of mainstream America today.
I fully agree with you, and some of the comments on this forum, are proof of that. The likes of T-Rex, Uber Liberal and Brett Hirasaki wouldn't make it through one semester at a service academy. My son is a USAFA graduate, and he is a true hero who is admired by all who know him. He is doing something very worthwhile with his life-HE IS SERVING HIS COUNTRY!!

It's only a short article that suggests I change my avatar to fit the vision of what our hosts had in mind when they thought of developing a discussion forum.
However, there will always be the serious bigots who will try to rule the world with their self-serving pomp. I would suggest to you, sir, that you not let your failings become an embarrassment to any accolades that may be lauded to your son by his peers.

I'm not trying to be sarcastic, but isn't this the school that was accused, by its own cadets, of discriminating and harrassing non-christian cadets? And, weren't school officials accused of harrassing, punishing and/or penalizing female cadets who reported being raped, by male cadets?

I guess you're very bitter that you didn't have the intelligence to make it as an officer or a pilot, but that's easy to understand seeing that you live in Florida.

Wrong again, I am not from Florida, you do assume a lot of things, I guess that is why you really know nothing of the military.

You might want to be a credible insulter yourself before you try to claim someone else knows nothing about the military.... I've been in the Air Force for 13 years now and "zeros" is not a term I've ever heard used to refer to officers. It looks like you misread the frequently used term of "O's," as in the letter, like the Enlisted troops are called "E's." As for "zippers," sounds like another term you picked up from a movie somewhere... "Zipper-Suited Sun Gods" is frequently used on Pilots, but "zippers" is never used maybe because it was already claimed for another group back in the 60s in Military jargon and is not very PC. Nice tries on both though...

If you are going to pretend to be a Military guy, "t-rex," try not to sound like such an uninformed buffoon. Phony dumbass.

You are on a bomber base, try dealing with fighter jocks before you talk. My 25 YEARS in tell me you are just starting to learn. Nice try though, but you are the one who is uninformed.

I agree with the guy from Minot. I am stationed at Nellis AFB "Home of the Fighter Pilot" and I have also never heard anyone use "zeros" or "zippers." This T-Rex guy is not in the military and doesn't know what he's talking about. Besides, at Nellis we have planes of every type come through here: fighters, bombers, recce, tankers, etc. and the type of plane has no effect on the names used. You really are a "phony dumbass."

Sure pid shit, that is why I was with the 57th there, so how is the 25 Club? I was there when the sky club was still on Nellis Blvd, out the back gate, and craig road was a two lane with the pago pago club where Eagle trace is, so you know nothing. Try working the line and you will find out about the nicknames. How do you know when there is a fighter jock at your party? Don't worry, he will let you know. Spend more time on the line and less in the AC
