Yes everything needs to be done by polling. Let a few hundred random folks decide that spending billions is the right thing to do.

Put it on the ballot.

plesae build the damn thing... like H-3, no, no, no, and once it is built, yes, yes, yes.

for those against rail... remember the center of commerce will shift to West Oahu, like it or not and mass transit will benefit all in ten to twenty years. Those against rail don't want development where they live but it is okay on the Leeward side, well if you allow development, you need to allow mass transit...

This "poll" is b.s.

SMS calls up a few hundred people and, defending on who are what is asked they come up with this?

Wake up People, close to 50,000 People have signed saying the OPPOSE Mufi's version of rail.

Both Ann Kobayashi and Mufi are Pro-Rail.

The difference is Mufi is a crook, handing out your tax-money to his friends, like $500,000.00, to his former campaign spokesperson, Elisa Yadao.

If you want rail, then throw Mufi out and vote for Kobayashi.

Because if you support Mufi, he is going to continue corruption and do a June Jones and bail out in two years, run for higher office and leave the tax-payers holding the bag of bills.

Dump Mufi, vote Ann Kobayashi!!!!!

Dump Mufi.
He going quit in two years anyway, and run for other office.
Might as well get rid of the corruption now and vote for Ann Kobayashi who is also for rail.

Rail or No Rail should be a referendum item at the next election.

There is too much at stake to decide the future of mass transit in Oahu simply by its association with one or another candidate.

It should be interesting if the question of rail gets to the voting booth. I have yet to meet anyone in support of rail or Mufi himself, some coworkers of mine from the Leeward coast tell me residents on that side are very upset about the landfill as well.

which is why you saw another crook hanabusa supporting kobayashi.

mufis downfall this coming election:
1) his arrogance in bullying people
2) keeping the landfill open
3) this ignorant rail system

Mahalo Star-Bulletin for printing a free Mufi campaign ad for your readers to enjoy.

Honolulu, please ignore the cash pay-outs Mufi is giving to his campaign workers.

Please buy into the unions constant bombardment with commercials supporting Mufi and his railroad job.

Please believe the Go Rail Go groups is not a front for Mufi.

Please ignore the corruption at the City Clerk's office and the Elections Office.

Please support giving more of your money in the future to pay for a Mufi rail system that no body wants to ride.

And, please support Mufi when he does a "June Jones" on you and splits from the scene to run for Inouye or Akaka's seat as he waits for them to die or leave office.

With Mufi, what else could go wrong?

the poll is BS
the 50,000 signatures is BS

Want the truth? Put it on the ballot.

I live mainland and have used the rail system in numerous cities and it is great. But heres where I see rail failing in Hawaii. People will assume that everyone else will use it and will think the road is theres. Resulting in empty trains and the same amount of cars on the road.

You mean 12b where the totals don't even match the numbers? Looks like they screwed it up to me.

We live in Makaha. We now use the bus and would use the rail system too. We drive only when we have to and that is maybe once a week. The Windward side of the island has H-3, Likelike, and the Pali. Everyone else uses H-1, H-2, and #78. If you live in Makaha you have 29 lights, and the bridge that goes no where, before you get to H-l. Give us the rail transit system.

"The survey, taken for the Honolulu Star-Bulletin and KITV by SMS Research, shows that 60 percent of the residents on Oahu approve of Hannemann's performance in guiding the transit plan". This only indicates that:
1) The TV ads are working to wear down those who can't think for themselves
2) People are easily led by media blitz propaganda style ads
3) 60% of the people CAN'T calculate the actual cost of the finshed project(materials, shipping increases union contract raises & hidden graft to principals promoting rail)
4) 40% know that there is more than meets the eye in this plan and are lulled into submission
5)The Star Bulletin is on board with the project
