Sorry to say, but Office Depot has be going downhill for the last two years already. I had to stop shopping over there so I guess it was not only me then?

Most things I want Hawaii does not have any way so if I want something special I always order over the internet. Never been disappointed yet. If you want it by tomorrow you can have it by tomorrow and the cost is usually less so why fight with cranky sales people that don't know anything if you can even find one?

Office Depot is not at Waikele. There is aOffice Max there. THere is a Office Depot in Waimalu which has the worst service of all stores. I don't shop there because the manager is a A$$. With people like him no wonder they are going down the tubes No service at Office Depot. SB has the wrong location and must correct there story.

That manager you're referring to must have moved to the new Waipahu location. Plus they don't even have the sale products in stock. The manager tried to make it my responsibility to talk to his regional manager about it. They might as well shut the store down now. There's no customer traffic.

I always check their weekly specials for good deals. However, the Honolulu store always tells me they are sold out. I always end up going to the Dillingham store to purchase it. I suspect the workers are just too lazy to get the sale items from the back and re-stock the shelves.

What about the CEO and his "executive" team, are they taking a pay cut or giving themselves excessive bonuses while the company workers get the shaft?

Its the company workers that are the foundations of corporate America and drives its economy, not these CEO's whose primary function are their egos and sleazy connections to the corrupt political system.

Power in the hands of a few instead of the masses are the reasons why nations self-destructs.

Did that and was first in the door Sunday morning. Caught him in a lie that it was sold out. Then he tried to mess with me by asking if I thought I could just buy the computer and pull it out of a box and use it. I pointed out that he assumed that he was speaking to someone who had little knowledge of computers. Though anyone with half a brain would expect to be able to buy then plug-n-play. Works that way anywhere else. So next time I need blank DVD's that are on sale and may not be 'sold out' I'll look for his devilish grin mug in the doorway. Where is the leadership of this place? Amazing they lasted this long.

Turnover at Office Depot is just ridiculous, it's like there's new people there every week. Rumor has it that employee theft is just outrageous with them, combine that with one of the worst retail inventory tracking system they are known for, and you got a big mess causing massive bucks lost due to theft and upset customers. Doesn't help that customer service also stinks pretty badly as they hire anyone off the street.

Well I completely disagree about hiring just anyone. Most people don't pass the computer test required for employment. I am not trying to defend our customer service since overall it's pretty bad. It's impossible to help customers when you have no employees, because you aren't given any payroll.

Also a big part of the problem is poor training in stores, which is another management issue that goes back to payroll. Managers can't overlap shifts because they don't have any payroll to schedule more than one employee at a time in any department, so the new folks never properly learn their job. Which in turn leads to frustrated employees who quit.

I do agree about the theft issue. It's ridiculously easy to steal from Office Depot. They rely on "fanatical customer service" to stop theft, which is absurd because it's impossible for one or two employees to watch every customer at peak hours, especially given the amount of tasking they're required to do. I don't think Office Depot is in a position now to invest in any type of cameras or security system and they certainly aren't going to hire security guards.

how in the hell can you be expected to run any team with far to many tasks and no payroll. Bad decisions from the regional teams who are far more concerned with there ego than correcting inventory discrepecies from the buyers or helping managers create happy productive teams. Company is way to top heavy and should of started there before the store closings became evident. Why is all I can say!!! fire all of the executive team starting with reginal Managers.good for nothing SOB"s
