If Yogi Berra had said these things, you would have thought it brilliant.
At least Bush knows how many states we have. And he actually spoke with his leaders on the ground at war. And he also visited a few times. Lay off the guy, his term is over.
Concentrate on the current crap that is being peddled to us.
lol! Yogi Berra wasn't a diplomat or politician. If he played like cr-ap on the field, no one would care who he was.

Obama has also spoke with his leaders. But I guess you also feel it's his job to report to them and not the other way around. And at least Obama doesn't have a VP who goes around shooting this friends in the face, then gets an apology for "embarrassment."

The current cr-ap being piled on now it the result of the previous stuff piled on us for 8 years. You simply miss the smell of your old cr-ap.
Yeah

<quoted text>Here's a speech that Bush gave at the Radio & TV Correspondents Dinner, in which he pokes fun at himself, including his tendency to say "Bushisms."

In commenting on this speech, someone wrote: "History will render a final verdict on Bush's presidential term, but self-deprecations of this sort are common for him, and are a true testament to his humanity."
I agree.
BTW, you're wrong about Obama being a God. Bush himself said he's in the Bible.

Same response the far left gives when asked why Obama has not fixed anything yet, it has only been 9 months.

BTW, I see his visit to Denmark was a total waste of taxpayer dollars....got to wonder exactly who in Illinois he was paying back for what favor rendered.

You seem to like him, tell him he can just teleconference and not burn up all that evil fossil fuel flitting around in AF1.....

And you are ok with what is happening to it without it being privatized?

Oh yeah, it is just money and we can print enough to cover all those IOU's.

Isn't that how you're getting your money now?

Or do you just oppose others getting what you have?

lol! Aren't you the people who want to slow things down for things such as health care? Are troops not being withdrawn from Iraq? Is not the stock market healthier today than when he took office? Or are you simply asking for a quick fix like Bush jr promised in going to Iraq? "Mission Accomplished," eh?

As for the Olympics, that's too bad. It will be interesting to see who is picked.

This thread is still going? The "Mission Accomplished" was the defeat of the Iraqi army, which we did. hence "Mission Accomplished".
Iraq is no longer a facilitator of suicide bombings and a safe haven for Al Queda. Iraq also affords us a military base where we need one, close to Iran. That base could refuel Israeli planes on their way to decapitate the mullahs in Iran which Barry Boy hasn't the guts to do.
In fact one left over Carter Kakistocrat, Z, Brezinski advised to shoot down the Israeli planes.

lol! And why did we have to defeat the Iraqi Army? What was Bush's objective? I believe it was something about WMD's but that's hard to say because they never found any.

I do agree we can use it as a stepping stone to Iran and I see no issue there. But I don't know about letting Israel land there. That's a political hot potato.

As for Obama decapitating mullahs, I recall Bush jr sending a letter condemning the armed invasion of Georgia. Guess Bush didn't have any guts there. Simply sent humanitarian aid. And he called them a friend. Funny no?

I'd be very careful tooting my horn about this just yet. Anyone who has even a minimal understanding of economics and investing knows that the economic improvement we've seen so far is almost totally a result of the government throwing money into the system. It's not a complete surprise that it "worked." The big key is whether the recovery is sustainable when the government support is withdrawn.

Weren't you the one who recently claimed the market was down, until others informed you about the rally since March? Talk about swinging both ways! LOL.

Obama's failure re: the Olympics is a huge loss of face. I expect there's more to come along those lines, especially as he continues to appease and apologize. Our enemies are like sharks that smell a bleeding, wounded fish flopping around in the water, and they've begun circling. Meanwhile, our friends and neutrals are bailing out, and they have their own problems to deal with as well. Obama has given us the image of weakness, which only attracts enemies and causes others to distance themselves from us. He may be leading America on a path to ruin.

The question mark belongs inside the quotation. Ref. The Chicago Manual of Style. I don't quite get what this has to do with anything, though.
No big deal. A poster pointed to the Quayle incident (spelling "potato" incorrectly) as an example of GOP "intellectual buffoonery." In the process, I suggested that he may have made the punctuation error in question.

I still would appreciate knowing what is correct, though, for future reference in my own writing... and my interpretations of what I'm reading in various references continue to suggest that the question mark should be placed outside of the quotation mark. The basic principle appears to be that the question mark "belongs" to the overall sentence, which is a question - and not to the particular word being set apart (i.e., "potato").

I'd appreciate clarification, although I acknowledge that it's straying off-topic.

Iraq did have WMDs. They had 14 months to get them out of the country. Intelligence knows when, where and how.
Georgia isn't germaine here.
The Saudis don't consider allowing the IAF to refuel too hot of a potato.
I'll see you later, I've got to go to Sams Club

Lol! Well, if McCain were in charge, that wouldn’t have been the plan...

http://thinkprogress.org/2008/01/04/mccain-10...

So technically, you're wrong.

Besides, Obama has said he wanted a withdrawal so I don’t understand what your point is.

As for claiming the market was done, perhaps you can show me the post.

As for the rest of your statement, I guess you miss someone to tell you what to believe in.

Daily Horoscope for December 29

Aries

There are mixed messages flying around in the ether today, so be wary about drawing any concrete conclusions from what happens now. Even though you don't realize it, you may be misreading the signs that someone is sending out, which will lead to complications later on. Be especially careful about indulging in romantic daydreams and then believing them.
