Hey ...George L. Berish. Why even write a letter to the editor if you have nothing truthful or realistic to say? "naively falling on your political swords to save him?" Naive, really? You must mean like naive Republicans who believe that they can launch wars which will result in "nation building" in two of the places on Earth least likely to ever allow that to happen?(Iraq & Afghanistan) "and a mop to clean up his economic and security messes"? Seriously? Obama's mess? George, you know your historical-amnesia should really be checked out by a professional as soon as possible.

What I also find interesting in his letter is that we let Bush make a mess for 8 years but Mr. Berish is only giving Obama 9-10 months to supposedly make a mess for VP Clinton to clean up with a mop? How come no one gave Obama a shovel?

Diane Marshall - your colleagues have spoken through ratification, and now you are complaining about how the union and the teachers sold out the students, parents, and retirees. is this like turning tail and saying that you were the sole voice of reason in an unreasonable situation, or do you have other motives for complaining as well? what have YOU done to support your fellow teachers, and let your voice be heard? if you don't get involved, don't complain about the results. and if you are really that unhappy, nobody is forcing you to teach.

Diane Marshall: If the state does not meet your dollar value expectation as you relate it to kids' education, I suggest you determine what that value is, then find another institution that's worthy of your talents.

Didn't you know that George suffers from BDS, also known as Bush Denial Syndrome. He and tens of millions of other sufferers somehow think that Bush was Jesus come down to earth and everything that has gone wrong for the last 8 3/4 years is the fault of the Democrats and President Obama. Didn't you know that the current state of the economy and the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan are all the fault of Obama? At least that's what they think.

The Obama Deception

Obama is continuing the process of transforming America into something that resembles Nazi Germany, with forced National Service, domestic civilian spies, warrantless wiretaps, the destruction of the Second Amendment, FEMA camps and Martial Law.
Obama’s handlers are openly announcing the creation of a new Bank of the World that will dominate every nation on earth through carbon taxes and military force.
International bankers purposefully engineered the worldwide financial meltdown to bankrupt the nations of the planet and bring in World Government. Obama plans to loot the middle class, destroy pensions and federalize the states so that the population is completely dependent on the Central Government.
The Elite are using Obama to pacify the public so they can usher in the North American Union by stealth, launch a new Cold War and continue the occupation of Iraq and Afghanistan.

The Dow was trading at or under 8k in January of 2009 and the national unemployment was hovering around 8%. During Bush's term real wages decreased, as did the stock market. Neither of this had occurred during the 3 administration preceding '43.

The 17 furlough days will equate to around a 7% pay cut. This is not the end of the story. More cuts will come into play such as medical and dental benefits, and the teacher's retirement pay. How about cutting the teacher's membership dues to the HSTA who sold them down the river. This is the only positive thing that I can see in this fiasco.

Matthew, did you forget about the survey taken by the people along the proposed rail route. ONLY 28% said they'd ride the rail! Do you think that's worth the 5.5 billion and growing to build it???

Purely comic relief, and definitely not presidential material (heaven forbid). And you probably would've preferred to settle for Shrillary as VP - since unlike you, the rest of the us clearly didn't want her in the top job. Ah, Liberal wishful thinking! It even extends to assigning different roles for their various clowns in their circus act. Hey, tomorrow, just for fun - can we make Pelosi president, and Barney F. VP??
