If you are on welfare and needed to buy some presents for your children. And you had just so much money then it makes sense to stand in line to get the best possisble bang for the bucks.Right?

I didn't wait in line at the friggen mall. What a drag that would be. With a Bailey's Irish Cream and coffee in hand, I shopped online at Amazon and Macys. More deals online too. The same Black Friday deals were online at the Apple Store albeit we have plenty of iPods and Macs in this house already.

I went to Windward Mall around noon, dreading it. But the mall, and the stores, were empty. Guess Black Friday ain't gonna last, and this will be a tough season on many stores.

there is nothing delightful about paying alot of money for crap that doesn't work.

I've tried no less than 3 digital picture frames, each around $100. Absolutely none have worked out of the box. Quite frankly, I'm tired of the hassles of doing returns.

Retailers and manufactures need to get their heads out of their okoles.

Maybe that's because they are one of the few still receiving any kind of check, those of us who don't fit the profile can't get a check because we don't fit the demographics and our education is higher than the sixth grade.

I know what you're thinking, it's a dam shame, should of been an SSI recipient instead of one of the unemployed working poor, then we would be shopping inside of Walmart instead of panhandling for quarters in the parking lot.

Many years ago my wife and I (no children) decided not to give gifts to each other on Christmas, birthdays or other occasions. It has made life much, much nicer. We still treat ourselves to an occasional treat that we can both enjoy at the same time. The best way to say, I love you - is to say, I love you.

Wheeldog, you are not helping the economy by hoarding your money. Enjoy life unless you are planning to take your money to heaven with you.
