I noticed the last time I visited Waikiki Beach there seem less beach than when I lived there back in the 1990's if that is caused by the gobal warming that is very serious , is the State of Hawaii doing anything to put sand back on to the beach ? The way things are going in 50 years the beach may start at Kuhio Ave.!

It ain't shrinkin' baby...there are just more big behinds taking up the space, soaked in Hawaiian Tropic making oil slicks chucking their Pepsi cans in the water and then going out dancing all night.

The very last time I went to that beach, a 400 pound woman in a bikini plopped herself down right in front of me with her biscuits sagging through the wedge of her stuff.

I was totally grossed.

I remember seeing more than a few like that when I used to go to Waikiki beach to swim it is hard to believe that they could pack so much into such small swim suits , once I seen two very over weight female tourists in small swim suits one was reading a book on "loving your body" and a crowd of local males were watching them and laughing like crazy at those two slobs ! Funny I never remember seeing any fat women on Waikiki beach in "Magnum PI " they were all cute and sexy ! Hollywood ha ha !

Same with Hawaii 50. I used to watch them film and thinking, "Where do all these good looking white women in short skirts and driving sports cars come from? I see mostly 300 pound titas running around in t-shirts while stuffing their faces, six of them jammed into a Pinto."

Those darn tourist keep taking the sand at Waikiki beach. A little here ,little there and soon we have to pump sand back on the beach. Maybe its Australians taking sand back down under. I heard we import sand from Australia. Haha thats so crazy to hear some tour driver say something as bogus as that. Just joking about the missing sand Aussie.

We have imported sand from other countries, including Australia, and I believe China. But it was for select projects - like construction, golf courses (sand traps), and maybe a few small, private resort beaches. But not the beaches of Waikiki.

Whatever sand that has been imported to Waikiki beach for artificial replenishment has come from Hawaii sources, on Oahu and Molokai. Maybe Maui too.

Tear down all construction within 100' of water lines, designate it all as public space, green plant it, and fix the damn sewers.

Australia has more sand around its land mass to cover the entire Hawaiian Islands, all of them. But I doubt if sand is imported from down under for purposes mentioned, i.e., golf courses, etc. The shipping cost would be prohibitive, I would think. Unless one has deep pockets e.g., Buffett, Gates, Trump, Waltons, etc..

Daily Horoscope for December 9

Scorpio

If something is bothering you, it's important that you say so now, loudly and clearly. It's no good bottling things up any longer because that will only lead to resentment and a slow-burning anger. However, it's important that you know when to shut up too, otherwise you might overstate your case or sound so demanding that you turn others against you.
