Woman Pays Traffic Ticket From 1976

Better late than never. An unidentified woman has paid off a parking ticket she got in Calumet, Michigan, on September 1st, 1976.

In Columbia, they would of thrown you in jail probably, at least bobble head and chuckles would of liked to. Im sure they would of taken the dollar and said you also owe us $7,000,000 in interest and penalties and really would of expected it.

LOL.... This is funny really. Her conscience must have been bothering her all these years. It's remarkable how honest some people can be, yet so many other are just without any conscience at all. Good for her.

Knowing the city of Columbia like I do, I think your figure is a little low and you left out that they would also take your first and second born.

No offense, but she must be "along in age" if she thinks they can't track her down if they really wanted to. I am assuming that her tag and license numbers are recorded somewhere...but for a $1 ticket from that long ago, it's probably not worth the effort.

Glad she finally paid it, but considering that it was ONLY $1, surely she could have done so before now.

That's kind of funny but also a true life pain in the butt.
Several years ago I was unable to renew my license finding out it had been suspended in 1972 after going to court and paying my fine.
I had no trouble renewing it until 1999 and it took Senator Thurmond to get it straightened out.
In spite of his help it still cost a re-instatement fee to have the problem corrected.
Once again: money talks.....

Since this "news" story is basically worthless, I'd just like to know what the heck "would of" means. You used it 4 times.
