Wondering when the Heritage House is opening and if the beautiful dome from years back is still there.I'd love to make a reservation for my mom and dad's wedding anniversary....however, my mom only wants to come to the hotel if the dome is painted. A prompt response would be appreciate.

I want to comment on the article referring to the former Heritage House as a "no frills" establishment as nothing whether in a room of yesteryear or of the remodel is further from the truth. Decanters of the finest whiskeys are complimentary as was the Bose Ipod Dock full of soothing music. Firewood with a beautiful fire ready to go was below the wide screen TV and the phone system the most advanced in the world let alone Little River. The rooms came with a complimentary espresson maker and a refrigerater stocked and chilled perfectly fine wines. The bathrooms were well stocked with plush linens and toiletries of the finest quality with the Rain Shower and fine Travertine Tile to die for. The decks with comfortable chairs and gorgeous views, the bed the best and with the linens the finest and most beautifully textured decor in any hotel I have ever stayed in. The nightly turn down service left the chocolate mints and the morning found the daily newspaper hanging on your front door. Your wish was the staffs command and the Apple Lounge was a favorite for the playing of board games, dinner, drinks by the fire or a good book of which the Inn had thousands. The antigues were the best collected thru out Europe and no one was if wanted not pampered or left alone in tranquil bliss if preferred. I have never in my life and at 55 with a sales and travel carreer having the finest of hotel accomadations stayed in any room or property that had more frills than Heritage House. Those who loved it considered no phone and no iternet a frill to a thrill to have for just one weekend. Try it some time, you might feel as Lauren Dennen wanted his guest to feel -- kissed by the tranquil, beautiful Mendocino Coast while experincing the finest European Inn in the World. I hope the coast supports the new Inn.

I am so in hopes that the owners of the Heritage House will hire the artist, Stephen Kehr Jr., who painted its dome in 1992,to paint the "new & improved" Heritage House's order to merge the "old" with the "new"....
