You wine and complain that the government makes it so difficult for you yet you don't seem to get it.
This isn't about some lazy punks wanting to steal your piece of the pie.
This is about basic human rights. All people deserve equal access to health care regardless of their situation in life.
That is not a socialist idea. That's a common sense idea. That's a caring and compassionate idea.
An idea worth discussing.
60 million now? That fish gets bigger every time the tale is told, eh?

You're right - you have the right to *pursue* happiness. Happiness can be defined any number of ways, but the pursuit of happiness doesn't *guarantee* anything. It's high time the folks arguing the "Human right" side of this realize that their rights do not trump the rights of those they propose to enslave.

Caring? Compassionate? I'm sick to death of the feel-good rhetoric; all it means is that you have no leg to stand on, so you attempt to seize the moral high ground through the use of terms you believe will cast a good light on what you want. Be honest - you want healthcare and you'd rather someone like me carry 5 or 6 of you around, so that you don't have to make your own way in the world. Where's the caring and compassion for those who actually produce and pay the taxes this society needs to operate? How about some basic human rights for them?

You don't seem to get it that there's a difference between wining and whining. All people deserve the same ability to spell also, but some how you missed the boat on that too.

Offer your compassion to the IRS in lieu of taxes and see how caring they are.

WOW
Seems that the longer this bill gets stalled, the greater the number of uninsured becomes.
The Administration cited a number around 21MILLION just a few weeks ago. Another source lists it at 40MILLION, but that number included ILLEGAL ALIENS, so I don't accept it wither...
What part or FREE isn't FREE don't you get..
I see where some here are pleased that rich "whitey" will have to pay for thier healthcare... NICE...
BUT
If you make WHITEY pay for it, he will close up his businesses and leave, making you unemployed and then unable to afford ANYTHING!
Whatever happened to people in this country having personal responsibilty to care for themselves insetad of having hte government do it for you...?
The Rich White folks are also in congress.. Ever wonder why they will be exempted from this new plan???
Ever wonder why they ALWAYS get pay raises, yet the folks on social security won't get a COLA this year?
Ever notice that MOST bills passed all have big loopholes for them to escape from???
here's a clue..
Most of them are lawyers and write bills that reward THEM first!!
get a clue!
Also, get some personal responsibility and start taking care of yourself and stop expecting the government to do it for you!
We DO need health care reform, but NOT THIS and NOT NOW! Tort reform, expanding insurance coverage across state lines, eliminating pre-existing clauses and prosecuting Medicare/Medicaid fraud would be a great start. In the MEANTIME, it's all about jobs!

Socialism works great until you run out of "Other people's money".

We need to be "The Land of Opportunity", not the "Land of Entitlement".

Go figure!!!!!!!!!!1

Where does PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY come into play here?

You DESERVE the RIGHT to PURSUE happiness, a job, life, good things, a house, car, food, TV, computer etc. And yes, even HEALTH CARE! You are NOT ENTITLED to them at someone elses expense. Life is all about choices...

Although I have no proof it is my feeling that the government have a plan and that is a rule and that our elder people should die. Not only will this reduce medical expences under obamacare but it will help to solve the social security problem. Raise the age to collect and make sure we die before that and the government will be collecting more in benefits then it has to pay out....

How many of the 20-40-60 Million uninsured are uninsured because they choose to spend their money on something else instead of buying health insurance? How many are illegal aliens? How many are too lazy to get jobs so that they can buy into the health packages?Learn the definition of personal responsibility vx "Entitlement".
Everyone is Entitled and have the right to pursue
happiness, it boils down to personal responsibility for me to see that my family and I have health care as we pursue that happiness. I and my family are NOT ENTITLED nor do we demand that others should PAY for our health care nor the food we have on the table or the clothes we have on our backs. We worked for them, we don't DEMAND that the government should hand them out to us.

Health Care should not be a Privlige, it should be a service like the police or fire Dept. Or we can have the Fire Dept come up and say, ok you house is on fire..Whats your deductable? Hmmm ok you livingroom is on fire, you will need to let that part burn out.

It is NOT a priveledge. It's something you work for...
And if you really believe that the US Government can manage such a program...
When AMTRACK
Social Security
Medicade/medicare
USPS
are in such GREAT shape..
When we find out that BILLIONS have been wasted in the TARP funds in non-existant districts, and that our own finaicial WIZZARD is now being investigated for giving away MILLIONS to bankers as "payback"...

Yea,

that's the entity I want controlling my healthcare!!

What a JOKE!

There is a problem with treating war criminals like the Italians did Mussolini? I would posit the same thing for the 9/11 terrorists.

Heck, could care less about "jedi" posts dude. Hasnt anything to do with politics. Thanks call a hobby. Oooo...

Daily Horoscope for December 31

Sagittarius

You're in a strange mood, Sagittarius. You're feeling impatient and cross, and nothing is quite right. No wonder, with Mercury and Mars retrograde, under a Full Moon lunar eclipse! But is it necessary to be quite so contrary, so determined to do the opposite of what's expected of you? Try to sort out the problem sooner rather than later, then do something energetic and therapeutic so you can burn off your nervous energy. Then you're all set for a great New Year's Eve!
