Full story: El Paso Times

It doesn't take rocket science to figure out that the price of food is going up.

I only glanced over the article, but I was reminded of the time last year, when I was trying to donate a couple of boxes of canned goods and couldn't find anyone to take them. I looked in the phone book, I looked online, and found one place over off Montana. They were closed, the property was gated so you couldn't enter, and there was no after hours dropoff.

I felt bad as I put all of the canned goods in the trash can.
ELP charities don't announce themselves very well and they aren't user friendly.

Like I said, I only glanced at the article, did anyone see an address for the charity?

The Times really should do its homework and, when writing a story such as this, list the web site or phone number of relevant organizations. The web site of the West Texas Food Bank is:
http://www.wtxfoodbank.org/

Hope this helps.

There must be thousands of people who don't have what to eat but yet the United States rather send food to foreign places rather than to feed our people first.

I guess you didn't read the story either. The colonias are in El Paso County, which last time I checked a map, was in the state of Texas, which is in the United States.
