Interesting article, because a month ago the TIMES was reporting on an EXPENSIVE IDEA of a high speed commuter train from Mexico to Denver.

It's STRANGE that elected officials who were so hot on that commuter train idea, FAIL to look at the railroad tracks that run through their own back yard, the LOWER VALLEY.

Those Lower Valley tracks will be here for a long, long time into the future and certainly MERIT as much ATTENTION as that expensive Mexico to Denver venture.

Here's another amazing and confusing thing about people and vehicles. I dont get it, why do people think they can win a collison with a train ? Or while jaywalking. win against a car?

It doesnt matter, people will still try to beat trains, get killed and here comes the kin looking for a big payout. Somehow its always the railroads fault. The lights, bells and arms are there for a reason. Your average car weight what half a ton, a train weighs in excess of 4000 tons. Guess who is gonna win!!!! Stop and Live.

Who cares? Anyone dumb enough to get hit at a railroad crossing deserves to die. Fortunately, it's not like a drunk driving accident where the drunk kills innocent people. Let them die! In fact, mess with the signals occasionally to help with population control.

Ehh....just indicative of the impatient nature of El Paso drivers.
How many of us have heard that car lay on the horn the second the light turns green and people don't immediately start to move?
Hell one time while crossing Mesa in front of Haskins Center on way to UTEP game some guy was honking and honking because traffic wasn't moving, even when there were dozens of people crossing in the cross walk AND traffic had been stopped by the local EPPD. Fortunately that guy got a nice earful from El Paso's finest for this inpatients.

Daily Horoscope for December 10

Aries

One of the family needs plenty of love and attention today, but the trouble is that you may not be able to spare the time. If so, you'll be consumed with guilt and self-reproach, and this may become so strong that it casts a blight over the day. So do what you can to let them know you're thinking about them, but resist the temptation to berate yourself over things you can't change.
