I don't agree with the Jews for Jesus leaning so strongly on following the letter of the Torah in some of it's more ritualistic aspects.

However, I believe this particular Jewish Messianic scholar has done an exceptional work in examining the aspects of Jewish thought regarding the Trinity, in a more unbiased fashion than modern Rabbinical scholars who's works are extremely biased and misleading to say the least, leaning heavily on either eliminating passages, or trains of thought that would lead anywhere close to conclusions That Jesus Christ could possibly be THE Messiah. This is bad scholarship, if not downright dishonesty.

If one already feels, presumpteously, that they already know all there is to know about God, based on what they've already read, and EXPERIENCED, then don't bother reading the rest of this, however....it is very thought provoking and edifying to challenge modern "politically correct" rabbinical teachings.

Man's carnal finite mind, and in this case, the non mystical Jewish mind, simply refuses to delve very deep into the dazzling realm of the Spirit that transcends time, space, and the limitations of carnal reasoning and thought.

"Hear, O Israel, Adonai Eloheinu Adonai is one. These three are one. How can the three Names be one? Only through the perception of faith; in the vision of the Holy Spirit, in the beholding of the hidden eye alone.…So it is with the mystery of the threefold Divine manifestations designated by Adonai Eloheinu Adonai—three modes which yet form one unity."1

(my note: I can hear them saying now, "Oh that damned Christian mystery thing again!!)Yet,GREAT is the mystery of godliness. One of the reasons I love it so, and it is so exciting.

"A Christian quote? Hardly. The above is taken from the Zohar, an ancient book of Jewish mysticism. The Zohar is somewhat esoteric and most contemporary Jews don't study it, but there are other Jewish books that refer to God's plurality as well.

Why then won't Jews discuss these things? Could it be that to do so might lead a person to consider Y'shua (Jesus) as who and what he claimed to be?2 Rabbis denounce the idea that God would come to us in human flesh as utterly pagan and contrary to what Judaism teaches."

If you were to walk up to the temple in Jerusalem in Biblical times, and asked someone where the messiah was, do you know how they would answer you?

They would say to you, "Which one?"

Here is why.

The word messiah means anointed and was applied to the priests of the Most High God.

Therefore, there were many anointed (messiah) priests and prophets in Biblical times.

Pagan Rome hijacked the word messiah to assist in the creation of their new pagan religion they called Christianity.

Sh'ma Yis'ra'eil Adonai Eloheinu Adonai Echad!

Hear O Israel the LORD our God, the LORD is One. Deuteronomy 6:4

It would depend on who you asked, wouldn't it? Not all, obviously had the Spirit of God, most were just as secular and carnally minded as today's average Jew OR Christian.

However, when Jesus asked Simon Peter, this was his response.......and it was the very same with me. When this awesome life changing event happened in MY life, I decided right then and there, I would not, could not, ever turn back, even unto the shedding of my own blood unto the death. Nothing has changed since then. And never will.

16 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.

17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Bar-jonah: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father who is in heaven.

18 And I also say unto thee, that thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it.

Amen and amen and amen, Blessed be the NAME

You forget dear apostate, that Y'shua, and the Holy Spirit got ahold of me, delivering me long before I was even aware of Pagan Rome or Pagan Christianity.

Obviously, since as I suggested early in the beginning of my thread, that if one were so arrogant and presumpteous as to believe,(falsely) that they knew it all, then there would be no reason to study within the link, which would give you pause to wonder just why you have chosen to follow the teachings of a particular rabbi, when the best of them can't agree on much of anything, except of a rabid hatred of the idea of Jesus being Messiah, the Major.

Oh, those rabid rabbi's

Adonai- Eloheinu -Adonai

"Come near unto me. hear this: I have not spoken in secret from the beginning: from the time that it was,
there am I: and now the Lord GOD, and his Spirit, hath sent me".(Isaiah 48:16)

Isaiah was not speaking to himself but was speaking through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit
