The Parking is now $15!

That's what gets me is the $10 parking. When it hit that we never went back. I'd rather pay more somewhere else that be ripped off for parking. It isn't like I get my car washed.
Go to Lake Compounce, the value is better. No Flags, Lots of Fun...

Six flags is a great deal. Our family purchased season passes this year and have gone about 8 times since April. Our kids love it. We love watching them experience the park.
As far as money, you can bring water bottles and refill them at the fountains. You can bring in food so as not to have to spend bucks at concesssions. The park policy frowns on this but security usually does not enforce it. Leave your money at home and enjoy the rides.
Bottom line, there are many weekend afternoons, we do not spend a nickle at the park beyond our intial investment. Just because you are there does not obligate one to spend money on food, water, games, six flags gear, etc. Enjoy the rides, enjoy the people in the "lines",relax, and keep you money in your pocket.
A very happy season ticket holder.
who ever wrote this, i agree to the fullest extent, you dont need to spend one cent at the park beyond the original innvesment, you can always do what this person does or go to mcdonalds down the street

What happens to all the claims, that visitors filed with your park? I was harrassed and bullied and injured myself under the accompany of your 15 security officers( These kids take a one day class and think they are police). This park is racist and has racist secuirty officers. Your safer catching a bus in the hood then going to this park. I am speaking about Vallejo!! This park needs new management, plus new corporate management!!! Everyone needs to take a class in customer service.....this is a family park people. Go back to being a family park not a zoo for teenagers who run a muck and hire adults not inexperienced young racist adults that don't know how to deal with the public.

We had a great time, but I just wanted to give my two cents on their bankruptcy status and some suggestions to increase ticket sales and revenue. It's simple......... rollback the prices to 20 years ago next year in 2010.

The food SUCKS!!!! People don't want to pay $5 for a bag of popcorn that only costs $.25 to make. People don't want to pay $5 for a salted pretzel that cost $. 65 to produce. Cut the $59 admission to $39 and you'll pack the place. Don't paint the park next year. People WILL understand and probably not even notice.

Get some "affordable" food. Cater to the ethnicity's. Ribs, rib-tips, chicken, eggs rolls, fried rice, taco's, burrito's, steak sandwiches, salads, bar-be-que, etc. It doesn't have to be quality, but affordable. "Shit, we're hungry man, just give me some cheap grub."

$7 for a pizza slice! Make it $3.50 and "maybe" people will spend more. Last night I ordered a single cheeseburger, a coke and a kids meal from Johnny Rockets....$24.00!!!!!

The games. Who the hell wants to win a huge Scooby Doo doll and tote it around the park? Offer vouchers to redeem your prize before you leave. I bet that 20% will NOT come back for their prize; cha-ching! More revenue! Duh!

Like I said; just my 2 cents.

The problem is they didn't expand to get more revenue. They should have been way past Seven Flags by now!

Actually I want to comment on the article. Even though six flags has been reported with the bankruptcy news, but it still maintains the highest satisfaction ratings ( )

I used to work at Riverside for years and even when Premier Parks who is the parent company that bought Six Flags took it over in the late 90's
it still had that small theme park flair, then they tore down the track and just built it up to fast.
Being a full time employee as I was I saw all the ways they would think up to soak money out of people and to be ohnest with you They deserve to go down the tubes , Shame on them , if you think about it Riverside was a better deal , Mr Carroll the owner just had no money to get new rides so he was forced to sell.
