We work very hard and deserve some 'lax time. These foamers just don't understand what it takes to work all day in all kinds of weather. Yes I agree, "chug chug chug, a choo choo". I'll be at MP50, "awaiting my next command".

A Person wrote: <quoted text> From what I have been reading you bunch of A-hole railroad workers are a foul bunch , I hope that guy screws you over You must not be very familiar with railroads. Much like logging or construction, the rank and file tend to have a crude redneck tendencies to them. - For an education on railroads you need to talk to a guy from Enfield, CT on this blog who goes by many names: "Troll de la Borum", "New Naven Railroad", "FBI", "Bridge Commander", et al. This guy and a buddy of his from Wallingford are real "walking, talking, railroad encyclopedias". They love to talk railroads and watch trains, but they think is is odd behavior for anybody else to do the same. This gives me some suspicions -

On the first of the 2 links above, this "Amtrak Stormtrooper" guy takes issue that the passing train crews gave a goverment owned radio to an retired guy that thinks he's the cat's ass now he can illegally transmit to the trains go across the road from his place of employment at Warehouse Point in Enfield, CT. Praise this guy, as he is a total hero who is just save taxpayers money. Don't listen to anything this sniffling, whining, complainer says. HE is some type of railroad wannabee that is all bent out of shape because the track workers gave a radio that was going to be discarded anyway to a retired guy that is friendly to the train crews. Steve (the retired guy) keeps a lookout for trespassers and vandals and has helped out in reporting some of that. Steve once made this "Enfield hero" aware that there were fines for tresspassing, and this just rubs him the wrong way. The "hero" works across the street from where Steve waves to the trains. A footnote on the radio; have you ever heard of amortizing an asset to where it is now worthless? Taxpayer money; I don't think so. Have your channel 8 buddies look into this, if you really called, which your style would be to be a bluffer. You have to ask, what harm is there in an old guy who waves to the trains? At least he isn't getting hammered in some bar or pissing money away in those worthless casinos. I've been working in the area and the train crews are always glad to see Steve there. This "Enfield Hero, or Troll" sits behind his computer and fires off caustic and sometimes disgusting posts, because he has the protection of anonymity. He simply is a miserable dude, with absolutely nothing better to do. Working on the railroad is the coolest job, and this guy is all bent out of shape that he can't. We'll have to set up Steve with a cab ride and he can wave out the window to you at work. Cool Beans!

Hey boys, easy as she goes. You all need to chill out and have a little smoke on it. If it will make the Angry Enfield guy happy, I'll gladly give him a cab ride one day. This way he can get all that anger out of his system and cool down about retired guys waving to trains. BTW, channel 8 is a lousy station.

It really is amazing how some moron has nothing better to do with his life than harass a retired guy. You really give new meaning to the word pathetic buddy. Do you really think your doing something good??? Untwist your mind Get a hobby do something constructive and worthwhile with your life. If you ever want to creep out from under that dark cloud of misery you live beneath. Wake up open your eyes there is a great big world out there with all kinds of things for you to do. Do something that you can tell your family about something that will make them proud of you. Reminder in case you missed the point harassing some retired guy that is not hurting anyone by waving to trains is not going to get you anywhere or earn you any respect.

The forum can end now (thank god), and the "Angry Enfield Busybody NewHavenRailroad Foamer" can relax now. He has done an excellent job for America. Steve was arrested and charged with illegal possession of a government owned radio, but there was no additional charge for violating FCC rules because it was felt that there was insufficient proof to prove that he was transmitting with it. His attorney was present and a plea entered, allowing him to be released on a promise to appear in superior court where his punishment (if any) will be decided. Word has it that he has been warned about trespassing on Amtrak property and will be fined if caught doing so. So he will have to stay certain distance from the tracks from now on; can't afford any fines on a retirement budget! Furthermore an investigation is in process to determine the source of the mentioned radio. That leaves one question. What will the guy at Warehouse Point do now, with nothing to get worried about? Go insane?

But, what will I do now? Where will I go? Will you be my friend? Does my cats breath smell like cat food? If it takes a man and a half, a day and a half, to build a car and a half, how long does it take an elephant with a wooden leg to kick a hole in a pickle?

I would like to personally commend the efforts of the gentleman who works at warehouse point. You are fine example of what the youth of America should be; belief in truth, justice, and the American way. Our society owes you a debt of gratitude for contributing to the apprehension of this menace to society, and have brought a criminal to justice. Retired people should not be allowed to whittle away their days doing things like waving to trains. Thank you, fine young man.
