I've written my letters and sent them via e-mail. I hope others will do the same. This is an excerpt from that letter:

Several years ago our church, Foster Memorial Church, began participation in weekly collection of food donations from our congregation. This collection is a very important part of our service as we have the children collect the food, bring it to the alter where is is blessed. Then it is delivered to the Open Pantry.

I realize that what we do is a drop in the bucket, but with all those drops from the other churches which participate and the $400,000.00 from the Commonwealth, we can, and do help the community.
