I beleive Debra Jenner is innocent. She pleaded for years to have DNA testing. The system refused. What would anyone do in that situation, but plead guilty to get out.

Justice? Is it Money/Power or both???I believe Debra Jenner is guilty, but I also believe that at the time of the incident she may have been under alot of stress causing her to kill her baby. But I also believe that if she requested DNA the state would have given her that. South Dakota doesn't believe in Temporary Insanity. Maybe because they can aford to buy their family members out of trouble. I believe that is what happened when that young couple threw their newborn in the trash bag and left him for the trash man to dispose of it. The mother got only 10 yrs, the father 5 yrs. The babysitter kills 2 children puts them in the closest what did she get 4 yrs. The father/police officer that killed his son got 18 yrs. Here's one for you the 18 yr old that threw the baby over the bridge I believe she panicked she got 40 yrs. Now you tell me, is there real justice in the state of South Dakota?????? NOT!!!!!!!

The facts are, that South Dakota denied Debra Jenner DNA testing. Her family was willing to pay for it. It costs the state of South Dakota and taxpayers more money to keep a person in prison then to pay for DNA testing. Not everyone accused of a crime committed a crime. Research the innocence project. Debra Jenner pleaded for years, but the state denied her DNA, So what would you do. Probably confess to guilt. They gave her no other choice.
When Dna testing starts happening, innocent people in prison show up. Debra Jenner was never granted DNA to begin with.

Something is radically wrong here in S.D. when someone wants DNA testing and the state has refused to turn it over for nearly 20 years. Debra Jenner's folks would have paid for it years ago, but they will not turn it over. It smells like a dirty rat someplace in our judicial system in S.D.

A thinking person needs to know that 20% of all innocent people who are incarcerated, end up confessing guilt in desparation to get a parole hearing. I believe that this is what Debra did.

I'm sure she could of gotten the DNA test. Had she not chose to admit in writing that she was guilty of the crime. Plus a jury found her guilty too.

Remember Scott Davi? Killed his ex wife. Screamed he was innocent and also demanded to be dna tested. His parents paid for the test and guess what? Guilty as charged! Just because this idiot Jenner is screaming innocence and wanting a dna test done does not make her innocent.

Debra Jenner is innocent. Denied DNA, what would you do. She did not kill Abby Jenner! THere are people out there who know what happened that night, but the court room would not look at it. Did you ever stop to think why?

According to the Innocence Project, it is not uncommon for an innocent prisoner to confess to doing the crime they didn't do if they will be granted a parole hearing by confessing. To lie and say "I'm guilty" seems less evil than life without even a chance of parole to the innocent person.

Missy, I did not care if she was innocent or guilty, but took an interest in her case. The more I researched, it was evident that this women is innocent. Contact her daughter in laws father.

South Dakota Supreme Court : Jenner v. Dooley, Opinion Filed On Wednesday, February 10, 1999:
“We discern no likelihood that a favorable DNA test result of the hair and blood evidence would produce an acquittal were Debra granted a new trial. The evidence against her was highly persuasive. Proof that the hair found in her dead child's hand was not hers, but Abby's, would only create another circumstance on which to argue reasonable doubt. It would not be conclusive on the question of innocence, especially in light of all the other evidence against her, including her oblique but damaging admissions.”
It should be made clear that requests for DNA testing were post-conviction and not made at the time of the trial. It is the opinion of the South Dakota Supreme court that a conviction is eminent regardless of the evidence based on hair and blood samples.

Jenner v. Dooley,
No one should ever be denied DNA testing. What evidence was highly persuasive. What is highly persuasive is, that they denied her DNA. They denied the case of checking out side sources to close the case. It is the sloppiest case I have seen on record. Their was no evidence that would hold up in any court of law today. They just wanted to find her guilty.

Has everyone forgotten that a 3 year old innocent child was savagely murdered. Can you even imagine the terror that child felt looking into the eyes of her mother as she was taking her last breathe. I'm a mother who has raised 3 children,and worked and yes, you are tired and stressed out, but taking the life of your child is no excuss. Keep her locked up and away from other children, her grandchildren. She snapped once, she will again.
