I have stayed out of this and have asked Casey not to read this. All this is about is seeing how big of a rise u can get out of someone. I dont agree with what Jerry did, but no matter what he was still family weather he was gay or straight. To me I could have cared less. He was a great person and no I dont need to explain to u why. It really is none of your busines or anyone else for that matter. All of his life he was a shelfish person and this one time he became very shelfish and its a sad thing that it had to result in him taking his life, but you can not change the past. People needs to grow up and if nothing good can come out of your mouth than you need to keep it shut. Sometimes in life people wonder away and try new things and they can not find there way back home. Just like you, Im sure you have done many things your not proud of, some people can handle the pressure and some cant. Do you have a family? Well put ur self in our shoes, you would be taking up for the people u love. What if it was ur kids, brother, sister, mom or dad that u found dead from something like this. And there was people just like urself writing horrible things that u do. U would be pissed doing the same thing. So you may be glad and sleep very well at night knowing my two precious kids cry over this and scared that the snakes and worms are going to get their papa jerry. But i will only say it one time you will leave my kids out of this and you will not say another thing about them. This is not a threat it is very much a promise. I no and find out all. So think about what u say before u say it. There are two types of mad, but when there is a mom made than that is the worst mad you can get and you best watch out and back off. Everyone that is bashing these folks should simply move on! Yes these guys broke the law and have or will pay a price, but bashing the dead just is not right! You might think bashing these folks makes you smarter or more right, but it makes you look like idiots! If you disagree with the gay lifestyle in our parks(as I do) there are better ways to deal with it, like contacting your local law enforcement departments to see why this went on for so long. This has been going on in this town for a long time and it is time to clean it up, so contact your local leaders to express your opinions. As far as bashing the dead or thinking it is a good thing for a family and children to have to deal with a person taking their own life... Well just grow up and move on! I'm Dennis, one of the 40 arrested in the Wing Deer Park Sex Sting.
You allready know my name , address & phone number. You've seen my picture in the news papers and on TV.

My privicy is gone, forever.........

I have family as far away as Asheville NC. Knoxville TN. and Orlando Florida that saw or heard the news. Over 150,000 people read the News Paper or watched the TV News.
Does it matter that I was advised to plea guilty, pay the fines, walk away and forget it?

In my opinion, the TV news & the front page article in the news papers printing picturs of 40 men charged of lewd behavior, for most were misdemeanor charges, was nothing more than harassment. To state that all of the cases would be "vigorously" prosecuted sounds a lot like pre judgment. They failed to mention the lewd behavior of the undercover officer when he walked up behind me and asked, while holding up a doll head, "You wont a little head?" I was a bit shocked by his aproach and didn't say anything. Then he walked arround in front of me and continued his lewd actions.

The mental stress and depression from this sting operation was more than ten times worse than the $3,000. this has cost me.

I would like to offer an applogy to the city of Johnson City, Wing Deer Park, Johnson City Police Department, to Johnson City Police Chief J. L. and the arresting officers N. & M. for being involved in the sting and arrests in the Johnson City Parks.

On September 14, 07 I was charged with Indecent Exposure and Simple Assault. In my openion, I feel I was over charged and that the Sting Operation was over publicized.

The arresting officer M. and his partner officer N. were about 12 and 14 feet away from me to my left, I did not delibertly or intentionally expose my self, I said "Excuse me I had to take a leak." I really don't think either officer could have seen me indecently exposed. Officer M. asked me 4 times for sexual favors and I said no 4 times. officer M. said if I was not interested in him that I could be with his partner. I brushed the back of my right hand to the left front pocket of his jeans as a polite gesture and walked away. I did say "Maby another time." only to end the conversation. Officer M. said, "Your under arrest for Indecent Exposure and Simple Assault" ,... "You made one mistake, you touched me." I was advised not to talk to any one. Officer M. said, "This will not be in the News Paper" not exactly the truth......

I was advised by my attorney and an ex-cop to go to court, plea guilty, pay the fines, walk away and forget it. My attorney talked to the arresting officer M. just before court, I was told that officer M. said that he remembered me well and that I groped him. Another untrue statement! Again, not exactly the truth.

I will never fully trust any officer ever under any circumstances. My trust in society will be forever compromised. This cost me over $3,000.oo Attorney fee, court cost, fines and (6 mo.) probation fees.

I hate that you have been through so much. I don't know if you are guilty or not. Only you and God and those officers know for sure. What I DO know is this:
The public had a right to know that this type of behavior was happening in a family oriented place. We have a right to be able to protect our children from this disgusting stuff - be it gay or straight sexual behavior. I know that I would have been mortified to go to this place and find someone acting this way. I would have called the police right away (and probably punched someone).

If this illegal activity is published more, maybe it will reduce this awful behavior. That's the problem now. Our society is teaching our children that there are no consequences for illegal or immoral behavior. Your comments proved that if people think there are mild or no consequences for bad behavior, then they will keep doing it. No big deal. Well, it is a big deal for parents who want their children to be raised with values and morals. Use what you have learned and make it a turning point in your life.

I find most of the comments on here to be insane. How this got to such an emotional bashing level I do not understand. What I am finding is this...They should have never been in a public park performing any type of indecent acts where ANY people,not just children could find them. They do have motels in Johnson City. Was it overexposed? Probably, BUT at the same time we are in the "Bible Belt" so that makes it front page news. I surely do not care what anyone choses to do with their life; personally, religious or otherwise. The choices you make you will have to account for. I do have to add that our world has become one of intolerance. I would think their motivations would be to provide a deterrent to people who obviously have no self respect, common decency, or basic sense. Who knows how many victims there have been. I certainly wouldn't think that every person involved was of age. That was going on for a very long time. It sickens me to think that there are actually people who think it's ok for this type of thing to go on regularly at family parks and settings. No wonder our country is sinking.
