Where did it say he was "joy riding"??? Perhaps he was on his way to work or on his way home after work.......... My husband rides a motorcycle to work simply to save the family money on gas. Many more people may have to resort to motorcycles if the cost of gas continues to climb.

Prayers to the family and loved ones of this man.

You just never know what may happen. I had a wreck Feb 16. I've ridden all my life without any mishaps but that day(and I was lucky to be only doing 30-35 mph) I broke my ankle and my ribs in an accident that sounds similar to the one here. I was hurt bad enough at that speed with full protective gear including helmet, leather coat with C E aproved pads and leather pants with hip and knee pads. I can't imagine what would have happened at highway speeds.

Be careful out there. Wear a helmet. Don't get lax. At least with a car you have some protection. Not with a motorcycle. It's hard to pass up 49 mpg for sure. That's why I ride mine but joy riding is nice too. There is some nice scenary in Oklahoma if you know where to go.

Unfortunate accident. I was riding and camping in the area all weekend and heard about it.

Vaya con Dios's fellow rider.

this man was my childrens father and was doing nothing wrong! Please keep the negative comments to yourself. You never know when something like this could happen, it was a TRAGIC accident that has left a horrible memory etched in the minds of mine and his children!
