What is really said about this is when you can't trust family, that you owuld leave your kids with.

Whether the young kids where at his house is not an excuse for a 59 year old man sexually seducing the girls. He is the adult and they are the children. I agree, parents do need to keep track of their kids but when they are teenagers you can't put a leash on them and follow their every move. Most teenagers lie when there is something they want to do. When I was just barely 16 years old, I was sexually involved with a policeman, he was 32 years old. It has been over 30 years now and I can remember how manipulative he was. My parents did not know a thing. Twisted, but I still think about him often. I am sure he is an old man now but I am sure he hasn't changed his ways.

I know the families involved personally. This is just a bunch of lies. That man would not do anything to any child. He has spent his whole life taking care of people who have had hard times brought on there families. He has had people steal from him and his family and do all kinds of things against him and he has never gave up and decided not to help anyone else. The girls that are making these accusations are family that he decided to help when they had to be evacuated from the hurricanes in texas. They used him and his wife to the point that they had no money to do anything for themselves. These girls have made all kinds of accusations against different people for awhile now. Yes I know that there are alot of people who are molested by family members, school officials, teachers and all that. I know because I was mistreated by a teacher when I was younger. I am not saying you should not watch your children but the news is not giving the whole story about everything that is going on. Or all the lies that the girls have told on other adults in the past when they have not gotten what they wanted.

it's a shame what people can accuse someone of these days.the problem is people judge the accused before hearing their side of the story. not all accused are guilty.

I understand that this is not the first time Tommy Hoover has been accussed of this. As an elected official, why in the world would he still be on the board? Who is responsible for the oversight?

This whole thing is stupid. I know the whole story and it is bull. He helped these worthless girls and their worthless family. They leached off him, his wife, and the rest of his family. When these girls did not get their way they would make threats to turn in family for bogus charges. They claimed they were beat when their dad did not get them what they wanted. The last thing that happened before this is Tommy cut them off finally. When this happened the accuations started. Anotherthing to look at is these girls have been kicked out of 2 foster homes since this for trying to claim things when they did not get their way. One was another family member that was not going to put up with it. Their dad is even going around his work (THE TURTLE STOP) and bragging about this. So who is bad Tommy for being dumb enough to help family or these girls parents for teaching them that if you don't get you way lie. WEll this will all be over soon. He will be innocent but his reputation is ruined but these girls and their family get nothing. That is a sick country. When I can claim you molest me and cost you thousands of dollars and get in no trouble for it. There are numerous kids being molested for real but you hear SCHOOL BOARD PRESIDENT and front page news. Look at the facts before you judge.

This is in response to the article. I am familiar with the case. The girls that have made tha accuation have a history of telling fibs if they do not get what they want. They have accused their PARENTS of stealing money when the oldest wanted a drivers license and her parents would not buy it they the oldest threatened to accuse her dad of molesting her if she could not stay the weekend with a friend. This goes on and on with this family. Her mom and dad refused to work full time jobs because they would lose their free food from the indians. Their dad Daniel Hoover that works at the turtle stop in Wyndotte has even been going around and bragging about this to customers.(That is where I will never shop again) These people are leaches on this community. This man is having his name ran through the mud and his family is so stressed that they probably cant eat but you reader hear rape and yell STONE HIM. Before you judge think what if you tick off someone and they say "HE or She molested me" There you are in the same shoes. I just hope those of you that throw first have the same thing happen to you, but look on the good side when he IS found innocent and has spent thousands of thousands of dollars to defend his name the girls that made the statement will get in no trouble because that is the way DHS works. Fry those that are innocent and free those that sre not. I feel if he is found innocent and they find the girls lied they should be punished some way and thier great parent get the law bill. I hope you all meet Daniel and hear him brag about how his daughters were raped. I heard it and and R.L. Stien could not have written it better.

If these are the "facts", which they may very well be as I do not have any connection to the families involved nor do I know the history.....It is a tragedy for Tommy Hoover.
However, if Mr. Hoover is so revered in the community, why at the local convenience store down the road do I hear from reputable community pillars, that Tommy Hoover has been accused of this before and the overall consensus is that there is merit to the accusations? Why does the immediate community not jump on his band wagon and defend him? Cleora may as well be a thousand miles from Miami.....where's the support from those who are immediately involved in the school?
Also, the rumor that this has happened before and that he has had children removed from his home before, does this hold any truth? Just trying to get the "facts" straight, not "casting stones."

don't judge the accused? Well how about the child abusers in the local area? They get away. Why isn't anyone stopping the guy who plays in the Shifty Henry band in Bluejacket? Justice for the kids because they can't defend themselves. I just saw the news about the child that died. So sad!
