The 4th fireworks and music was great. A community needs to come together for laughs and fun even in these hard economic times. THANK YOU DAMASCUS. Its good to forget your problems if for only a few hours.

Damascus really knows how to celebrate! My husband and I were very impressed with the music, the fireworks and of course the friendly folk of Damascus.

The fireworks really were great this year and the music too. It was a much needed events. This event beat out the trail days event in the park in my opinion. When the hikers are up at the campground they do their own thing and the park isn't nearly as much fun as it use to be. SO THANK YOU FOR HAVING A FUN EVENT.

Why try to compare the fireworks with Trail Days? The two events are both fun and great for the town. I have a blast (pardon the pun) at both events. Each event brings many different people into the town. Many people enjoy creating life long memories of their time in Damascus attending either weekend event.

Bob, comprehend the whole statement. Both events are good it was stating that Before the hikers had their OWN campground behind the Bingo Hall more of them took more part in the activities in the park making it MORE FUN. They have their own events now that they do where they camp-(which lessens the park attendees) -and please do not tell me I don't know what I am talking about as I have been a worker for the past 10 years for trail days. I appreciate both events, and love the large turnouts in the PARK ***

Thank you for helping me comprehend. I did INTERPRET the statement DIFFERENT than it was intended.

After re-comprehending the statement I just don't fully agree. The hikers that stay in the campground are the hikers that everyone complains about so it is probably better that they stay in the campground. There are also many hikers that enjoy the town events and fill the local businesses also.

I think the locals could participate a bit more in the town events (music and food at the Gazebo) at Trail Days, which would make it a nicer event. Regardless, I think both events are wonderful for the town and give all us locals something to do and enjoy without leaving town.

Hey Bob, :), sorry if I sounded like a jerk, didn't mean it that way. For me the bigger the crowd the more fun--I lived in a city where there was a festival every weekend celebrating something and was one of the crazys that tried to go to them all.

Daily Horoscope for December 19

Virgo

Someone is easily angered today, and you'll want to tiptoe around them at every opportunity. They might be on the defensive and imagine that you're getting at them all the time, or they could be quick to point the finger of blame straight at you. It won't be an easy day, but try not to get swept up in the emotional dramas that are swirling around you. They'll only exhaust you.
