See my previous post about Glazed Doughnut sale to fund Team Nurse...because as the spelling error in the above post....I will be needing the Professional Help of Herrick's excellent nursing staff; Margaret A. Leighton had many of life saving trips to Herrick and volunteered for years...so Now I sincerely volunteer that should the downtown bakery be open on Mondays to sell only glazed doughnuts the locals and visitors will pay twice the price just to be sure when we are hauled into Herrick a Team Nurse funded nurse assists in saving my life...Oh, I am not going to stop eating glazed doughnuts from the downtown (age 65) so I have no hope of going on a diet..so please open the Bakery and sell glazed doughnuts at double the price with all the extra money going to Herrick to fund "Team Nurse" May 20th, 2013 we will be driving to enjoy Tecumseh and Pottawatamie Street (and the Evans Street Station Restaurant)....so start making those glazed doughnuts because between the mayor and this retired civil engineer and I am sure Wayne Brooks will be in line to pay twice the price for glazed doughnuts on Monday for the saving of the employment of the skilled nurses at Herrick. Okay, I promise to walk to the bakery to be physically fit to qualify for purchasing glazed doughnuts. whocareshalloffame.com Uncensored Social Currency supports Herrick Hospital Employees and should I win the powerball tonight well Herrick will get $10,000,000 for funding required nursing positions for the next 10 years. onballot.com (my photo); USAGOSHOP.com , whocareshalloffame.com , ourwatersource.com domains will promote the sale of glazed doughnuts in Tecumseh Michigan (at twice the price) to fund "Team Nurse" at Herrick...

Oh, my wife susan was born at Herrick so I will be sure to get her permission to help Herrick secure a funding source for more nurses....Thanks.

I am an RN and also a daughter of two parents who have recently passed away. I will also not fail to mention that the severe negligence of the supposed professional nursing staff at Herrick Hospital played a huge role in facilitating my mother's death. The Emergency room physicians (dare I call them physicians) cannot handle or diagnose the most simple, routine cases that may cross their path. Unfortunately, my father opted to be taken there a few times without me being able to intervene in time.
To those out there that really care for your loved ones, BEWARE of the supposed CARE in this facility. I was also a victim, ONLY because my physician practiced here.

I would not take my dog to this place. Professionalism and caring starts from the top and when it is severely lacking there, you will be hard pressed to find it anywhere.

understaffing = longer working hours/more work = stress = low performance = both nurse and patients in danger.
