God Bless our Troops
im an american, and previously was in the U.S Army
but these wars in afghanistan and iraq are utter nonsense
useless to say the least. our president should immediately pull the troops out. this is ridiculous, and has been going on too long now, and at what price. we are wasting our time and money. does anyone else realize this? we as americans need to wake up now!!! Right now!!!

I echo the sentiments of Kris - and it is sad - SAD - that this excellent article has drawn only three comments, compared to the hundreds an article on Michel Jackson or Madonna would have drawn.

I hope that the members of this National Guard Unit find peace in the noble sacrifice their brothers in uniform have made toward the defense of this nation and the protection of our constitution.

Heartbreaking. Thank you to our troops for giving their lives for our freedom. Thank you to their families for making the ultimate sacrifice for our country. To politicians who wield their power like a wand and don't consider the lives lost behind their decisions - there is blood forever on your hands. You should be ashamed.

God bless all the soldiers and all of their families.

Please posters - keep your politics out of this posting. The news article is about the soldiers, not the war. Don't rob them of the undying thanks we owe them by diverting the attention. Save your comments for articles about the war; not about the soldiers. Please.

Sorry mom, this all about politics.Your son is in it for a pension, education and maybe travel.I was drafted and I knew guys that liked the action{killing]I don't want my kids in the military if they are going to committ atrocities,Drag male members of a family in the middle of the night and torture them because they were defending their country.I don't want my kids defending dictators that we support or stealing somebody else's resources.I don't want my kid dying because Israel wants to take another people's land, water and deprive them of their freedom, and when they fight back we call them "terrorists'.I am a Chtistian and I am ashamed at what our "Christian" country does to other people.I don't have a lot of money but I will educate my kids so they can earn a living and don't have to kill people for a pension. You don't see polititions or rich people sending their kids into battle,do you?

Daily Horoscope for December 26

Virgo

Mercury is turning retrograde at just the right time, because it's telling you to consider the validity of your long-term aims and aspirations. If they stand about as much chance of seeing the light of day as you do of winning the Lottery, then you need to streamline them or even abandon them and start again. So think about what you want from life and how you're going to get it. Children and romance may be quite erratic during this phase.
